Stone Giant by MirrorPolygons

[raw]
made by MirrorPolygons for LD36 (COMPO)
Stone is ancient and will be there for a lot of time, this inspired me to create a game where you really feel the passage of time, like how it feels at work. Try to play trough this narrative puzzle game where you have to find your friend/love to be reunited. You can choose to play with or without sound as I am not great with sounds, sorry for your sanity.

Well... I did walk through the level quite a while.... and didn't find the narrative and the puzzle. :S

Still the game got a nice feel to it. I like the passing of the seasons.
The Stone giant only needs a better way of transportation... checking every corner of the level takes waaay too long. :D

Insanely creepy music, insanely creepy concept. But I like it, it's cool, love the graphics.

I like the game feel, the character animation reinforces the idea of weight and passing of time. Don't fit very well on the jam theme but it's an interesting idea tho.

Maybe add some pointers? or totems? to point the direction

This is a very, very nice game. The graphics are very good and the model of the character is extremely well done. It's movement compliments it well as it gives the idea of its weight and slow movement. The passing of seasons was nice and effects of the trees were really nice to watch. I wandered around for a while trying to find something but I couldn't quite see anything. It would have been nice to have something to give a general direction as going everywhere at that speed is quite tedious. The idea of the main game play being in the circle was very nice and gave the game a unique feel. It was a pleasure to play and the music complimented it well (despite being a little creepy). It's a good game it would be nice to see it developed a bit more.

His slow movement, limited vision, fast passing of seasons and music are making a really sad atmosphere. I think I've managed to reach something (since music and level changed) but got stuck after that.

I don't understand the point of the game? What does it have to do with ancient technology?

Very beautiful graphics, and atmosphere, I liked the round window. I walked a lot for a long time, but never found anything besides a river. So I walked along the river, slowly.

Good walk ^^

Interesting concept and atmosphere. I like the passing of the seasons concept but unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything.

Incredibly pretty, really like the aesthetic - and the round window gives it a really special look. I don't mind that there isn't that much "going on", it would probably just detract from the experience. Sounds also aren't that bad, I like the minimalist theme, fits the visuals.

Nice little Castle in the Sky vibe there. Very neat. You definitely nailed it on the passage of time feeling.

I enjoyed walking around, very beautifully made. I got to a river and waded in it but seemed like there was no way out of it, so I sat down and rested and let that be my new home.
