simple mechanics.
Remind me of an old final fantasy style game
The UI could have used some more clarity. Even after reading the game description here, it wasn't super intuitive what I was doing. After I played around and defeated my first boss, I got the hang of it.
Also I think there's a bug when trying to summon multiple things at a time - it cancels anything in the queue and only summons the last thing clicked on.
@acsid and @andrewkennedy I'm happy to hear it reminded you of a FF, we love those games! We did our best with the graphics and the music in the limited amount of time! Also thanks for the bug report, we are going to take a look at that!
@sirjupitron thanks for the comment! I was wondering who how long would it take for someone to get Santa! haha!
@bloodyaugust Thanks for the comment! Yes, it is simple mechanically... we had many things we had to leave out due to lack of time. Also, I think we ended up giving it quite a bit of time for the user to be able to win. We will try to do an improved and more challenging post-jam version!
Design and overall feeling is really good. Have a nice Jam!
After reading the description I thought I'd have to keep track of all the different weaknesses and strengths but since I couldn't choose exactly what to attack with I just had to hope that I randomly get the right summon type and just kept clicking the summon button until I won
As mentioned before, mechanics are not-very-intuitive and for complicated mechanics there is no room to do something complex. Believe postjam will be cool!!!
Honestly, my friend, your game is truly outstanding, and it provided my girlfriend and me with a very enjoyable afternoon. We both really love your game. If you have the time and energy, please also check out our team's game. We hope it can offer you a sense of relaxation or a knowing smile, as it's a small gift we've prepared for all creators.
