Art is great, the little eating animation and sound was satisfying, great job
my main point of feedback is that it took a while for me to understand that the platform was platforms, they where pointy enough to indicate danger at a first glanse - I understand they are supposed to be teeth, but I think it would read more clearly if they where trubby teeth and a bit more rounded, or maybe even more squared teeth - doing a quick google on Fish Teeth, I see many species having almost like rounded squared teeth which could work great for the platform part and then have the pointy teeth in the back, and underneath being obstacles to avoid.
But other that that, Great job!
Maybe should add some obstacles to push player save them. Well done!
Great job tho!
I really think you just need a little more danger (tension), and some type of things to collect on the way up? (I kept trying to eat the little sushis :) )
If the spiky walls hurt or killed you... (which was a player expectation I think)... I would maybe tune the left/right speed down just a tad... I loved the responsiveness, but felt just a hair twitchy imo. I had a hard time controlling. But that is super polishy. Such a great entry!
I personally like the interpretation of the theme in this one.
As @ScrapMetal already mentioned, would it be nice to have a little bit more challenge in the game. Enemies spawning from different directions for example could work for this type of gameplay.
The audio feedback while eating the objects to get points was very good.
Nice job and congrats to your finished product! :)

In particular I want to highlight the sound design and music. I really love the music and calming atmosphere the audio helps cultivate. I think it's a splendid entry. It's my favourite shrimp-based game I've played thusfar, and that's not even a small compliment!
my score:

it is actually possible to jump over the mouthborders into "freedom"

Only constructive feedback I have is that the controls could have been included in the screen that says "press up to start", since I played the first time not knowing that the thingies on screen were game objects rather than just decorations.
A pretty and very well executed simple game.
I like the atmosphere of it. The bubbling sounds, the overall peacefull music... - the fact that it does not become incredibely hardcore after 1min30 of gaming.
Nice work.
You might add a retry button, but that a detail.
Yay! Winnar!
The main screen does wonders to set the mood from the very beginning (in fact, I kept thinking if there would be other dangers lurking up ahead), and then the rest of the game cements a really consistent experience, with nice pixel art graphics (The tiny pieces of sushi in particular were so cute) and fitting sound design. Kudos to the music, I could easily keep the dreamy psych tunes looping in the background for a chill afternoon.
Great job!
PS: Just a couple of technical issues:
* Somehow I managed to kill myself and lock the game in the main screen once.  . It doesn't happen 100% of the time though, it could be a timing issue.
* A couple of times the height between two teeth seemed to be higher than the jump max, with no algae in-between.
Really good work on this game!
I like the sound desing especially!
The biggest issue as some others have said is the RNG. It is quite frustrating to die because the next platform simply spawned to high.
But a very nice take on the theme, a tiny creature eating even tinier creatures!
It's a cute little game, I like that we don't just need to jump but also take some time to eat, and I really appreciate that the music is rather chill so that I'm not getting stressed by trying and failing :D nice one!

I died from an (I think) impossible jump, but I love the idea of adding powerups and whatnot to this game as the art and music were impressive!
I finished with 17.
Great game. Simple, but unexpectedly challenging.
Thanks a lot everyone for the kind words and feedback! We're looking into the game-breaking impossible jumps!
Anyway unless I'm missing something, sometimes there's no way to keep going up and the player inevitably loses.
About gameplay, it is too easy so it's a bit boring, I ended the game just because I wasn't challenged. I think the game would benefit to follow the player no matter what because here I was constantly out of screen waiting for platforms to show up and jumping out of screen. You could make the mouth close quicker and let the player go up a bit more. Also it would be more enjoyable with a coyote time for the jump. Last thing is with a scoring game, I think you should display the score while playing.
Nice entry!
This is something we needed to better communicate at the start of the game.
EDIT: ok the interact button is ENTER
We definitely need to tutorialize this. Sorry about that haha
Btw I gotta higher even more my votes with this additional gameplay! It's few details away from a game I could hunt!
But I'd like to know where the idea of shrimp escaping the mouth of a bigger fish came from? :D
The theme tiny creatures brought the idea of cleaner shrimps, which are a lot smaller than the animals they clean, usually. The game is inspired by Icy Tower combined with the symbiosis between the sea animals, hence escaping the mouth part.

Sometimes the shrimp goes inside the mouth of the fish, risking being eaten, even though it very rarely happens.
At first I thought the platforms coming in from the sides were daggers so avoided hitting them and I also thought the triangles on the sides were spikes too. I also went quite far thinking I was eating food when I had only pressed space once on them rather than holding it for a while. This is just me being dumb though!
Loving the music too and this is just a well-done simple concept, amazing!
my personal gripe was with teeth edges, I would very often just fall through even though i thought i nailed the jump. so i wish collider was a bit more forgiving, if it makes sense. also could be just a skill issue on my part, so dont take it too seriously!
and as many commented, very lovely art, animation and audio design! when is shrimpy merch dropping? :D
The art is beautifully detailed, and I chuckled when I noticed the onigiri as one of the foods (the rest clicked in place afterwards as well).
I presume the spiked teeth were supposed to present more danger, but the mechanic didn't make it in?
As it's possible to play with WASD, I'm surprised you didn't actually bind 'S' to eat as well.
Overall, great job!

I liked the pixelart as well as the music, both very nice. the controls felt responsive and the game is very polished!
I think it would be even more fun if there was an endless mode too
Very good entry!
Despite the stress of the actual gameplay it was quite relaxing thanks to the music and the palette. I liked the occasional bubbles and the water noises. A little unhappy about having to hear the eating sound 😅
Simple but effective, and funny concept. Nice work!
