STORY
The cat home planet of MEOWcury had been at war with the portals for centuries. A CATastrophic war which ultimately resulted in heavy losses on both sides and no ultimate winner.
CAThryn Purrington and Penelope Portal wandered aimlessly for the next few years, lamenting their losses as one of many orphaned children in the galaxy. The probability of two randomly travelling entities meeting in this great expanse is almost impossible. And yet, under an eclipse on the planet Zylor, their paths did cross.
On their travels, both had heard ancient stories of civilizations where cats and portals coexisted before the war. Together, they formed a shared dream of starting a civilization together. They travelled to the distant planet of Zylor entirely populated by cat workers and entrepeneurs to seek advice from the Kitty Council and plead acceptance for Penelope.
Luckily, the Kitty Council were facing a sudden increase in demand of Zylor's products. Zylor's main export is summons that appear in video games from an alternate universe. In the last 72 hours, demand for summons increased by 87% for all of which seemed to be coming from a single website. The Council agreed to outsource Cathryn and Penelope the production for this website where Penelope's portal talents would come in very handy! With the Council's guidance and assistance, the unusual pair set about creating their PURRfectly coexisiting and mutually beneficial community.

A team of four again this time but with less of the sensibility we had last time in trying to keep it simple (which we had failed to do). As a result, we ended up with far too much work to do, as usual, but somehow managed to churn out an even bigger game than last time! This did result in less polish than previous games and doesn't quite feel complete with having to cut content and a lot of half done graphics lacking the juice we would have wanted to add. The UI was almost entirely untouched as well, with most of it just slightly tweaked Godot default theme.
The navigation took much longer than aniticipated and, with every new addition, a new issue presented itself! It was definitely worth it in the end though! It does look so very satisfying seeing all the adorable little characters waddling around the screen pathing around! The sheer amount of graphics that were produced as well totalled 235 individual png files which is just wild...
Let's not do that again for at least another 6 months! Time to sleep and recover... (And not think about getting up for work in 4 hours)

At some point I began to lose track of what each building/resource did ("What was the demon doing again?"), but other than that it was great.
Congratulations on being able to push out so much content in such a short amount of time, well done!
@smoky01 Thank you so much! Good to hear the art has the same unique flair as all 170 other games you've rated so far! <3
That said, a strategy game of complexity is tough to pull off, so kudos on the attempt! I enjoyed it before it got overwhelming.
Thanks! And good work on the game. The graphics are super cute.
@monika Huh that does sound like a bug, thanks for the feedback! Our routing logic isn't perfect, so when a witch starts to route herself to the games, it will stop any others trying to go there. They should deliver themselves to the games though, so dragging shouldn't be necessary (but I would have liked to tweak that a bit so you could drag them, I agree its a bit confusing)
@kaliuresis Thanks for the feedback! I think you're right, there were some key features/polishes missing and we didn't get the time to balance it to be more fun. I'm still happy with it but I think we'll be swinging back to do a simpler game next jam!
I also think I found a bug where the Boo! game wouldn't complete but the counter would go higher than the 7.
