Main.png

You are the Eye of the Summoner. Protect your tower from the fiendish hordes of paladins attempting to destroy you. Summon your beloved creatures of the darkness and fight to keep the flame of your beacon alive for as long as possible. Collect gold from the battlefield in order to produce more fighters and repel the invaders.

You have three different units, each with its perks and weaknesses: The Shielder, slow but steady, is ideal for defense; the Scout, fast but weak, is great for collecting gold; and the Blitzer, strong but reckless, is good for attacking in groups. The enemies will also reply with different types of units, each with different skills. Observe their behaviour to summon the right unit at the right place.

COMMANDS * MOUSE POINTER: Rotate the tower. * LEFT CLICK: Spawn a unit. * RIGHT-CLICK: Select the unit to spawn next.

Ohh the feeling is rather tense. I love how the feeling of just moving your beacon around and suddenly spotting something feels, that is a great mood. It was extremely challenging, at one point it felt weird how I was unable to summon more units without any indication, not sure if it was a bug or some feature.

Maybe in a game design stand point, I love the 3 units aspect, but selecting a unit is clunky with the right button. Maybe using the wheel or the keyboard for it, maybe also leave in the screen some indication of the currently selected unit to help the shift.

The music and SFX makes the mood here great by the way!

@ryrumeli Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to implement all the features and UI details in time during the 72-hour game jam, so the gameplay isn't as clear as we it was in our heads.
You couldn't summon more units because you ran out of credits, but we realize there’s no visual cue for that yet.
The unit you’ve selected shows up in the top right corner of the screen, but it’s definitely not as clear as it should be. We're already on it, fixing things that aren't working because we want to turn this basic prototype into a real game.

I like the idea of joining TD and the fog of war.
I thought it would be great if the tower could spell some special skill. Knowing where the unit positions are could give some strategy a boost.

Nice graphics and SFX. Good job!

A good idea and implementation but I don't get how to earn money. Besides that, a really cool game!

The graphics were well made and the darkness helped create an atmosphere but I found it very hard to distinguish friendly and enemy units. UI could definitely use some work as well.

Very cool - good job!
Love the horror vibes as well as the Doom style sounds that used be scary when I was a kid.

The atmosphere and graphics are great, very moody and nice contrasts and the gameplay is fun and an interesting take on tower defence. Apart from the game getting busy and hard a little to fast to adjust to the mechanics and pacing, other thoughts I had are mentioned in the first comment!

Nice work!

It was soooo dark (maybe also because I have my screen light turned down a fair bit because on battery on my laptop) but still managed to play ok. Definitely would have benefited from some extra UI elements to understand what was going on, or why I couldn't summon things at time but only having 72 hours to make everything I think you did a good job to get to where you did.
