Hey man, shit happens, don't beat yourself up over it! (The theme isn't exactly super inspiring to begin with.)

I'm sure it'll go better next time!

Hey there is a lot of game here.

A bit confusing at first,
but there are multiple puck types and AI implemented. Graphic style is cool.

I'd add a local co-op mode for 2 players couch play.
And export to HTML so its multiplatform and doesn't need downloading.

Godot for the win!

The puck types are awesome! No need to apologize, the game is tight.

The shield puck helped me win. The AI tossed it and pretty much set me up for a win :D

I think this will make a great mobile game if you ever go down that path.

WOW! Where to even begin! First off, what you created is something special. From the graphics, to the mechanics, to the audio, this is a fantastic 'taste' of a game. The graphics/text really brought this game to life and the mechanics were VERY smooth to a point where I was already upset that there wasn't more of a game. I know you are a bit bummed that you ran out of time but man... this is amazing and you should be very proud of yourself. I really wish you continue working on this because this is definitely something I would pay to play. Thanks for allowing me to enjoy this piece of gameplay!

I'm totally in love with your art style, it looks simple but is genuinely intricate and adorable. Your gameplay is a hoot too, and it's mind-blowing you managed to dream up and nail all this in such a short span. Must've been a real grind, huh? Props to you for nailing it!

Very fun! Even though there is just one level to play, I liked how many different puck abilities there are. The game also looks pretty with stylish opponent character, visual effects and transitions.

It's a little bit difficult to distinguish red and blue pucks at a glance. Other than that, I had no issues.

You should be proud of what you did in such a small time frame. Great job! Good luck with your future projects!

I can really see this being expanded into that rogue like you envisioned. The character art is delightful as always, and the various patterns on the board (and in the background) are so stylish, I'm actually jealous. The little arcs appearing around the pucks in the right place? I really admire the amount of polish you put into the game's visuals.

I recorded myself playing to provide extra feedback. Great work, cheers!

I can really see the vision you had and there was plenty of gameplay to let me experience that. A great effort overall, and I can't wait to see more. The Summoner was extremely cute as well :3.

Really well made game. Visuals are great and everything comes together well even if you didnt get as much done as you wanted. Played through it on stream and you can see the vod below with a chapter for your game (11th chapter)

And I'm the host for the ludum dare score chasers tournament this Ludum Dare. Wanted to ask if youre fine if I put some gameplay of the game in an intermission video. Last year for reference:

This was great, be proud! The core mechanic is complex yet robust. The narrator character is a very cute design. I think that this has great potential, but even just as-is, it's a very enjoyable experience <3

Did it have anything to do with summoning? No. Was it still a stellar representation of shuffleboard with a superb level of polish? Absolutely yes. Thank you for finishing this and not giving up.

The theme isn't that important. The game is really fun, even if it's just the tutorial. I really dig the graphics, big Vibribbon vibes and the game is just charming overall. I swear, if you finish this game and put it on mobile I would be playing it all day!

This was actually one of my favorite games out of the 20 or so I've played so far! Impostor syndrome and seeing what we've created as bad is such a common thing, and I promise you're not the only one. Even when I'm super proud of what I make, I'm like "hey this part is bad and hopefully I'll work on it more later (I won't lol) but enjoy!"

It's such a hard habit to break, and it feels WEIRD to be confident. But it's worth it :D And you definitely deserve it! Making ANYTHING in 48 hours is an incredible feat, let alone something like this! I love anything with physics but they're so easily broken by bugs and glitches; this game had none of that at all, which is kinda mind-blowing tbh.

And for what it's worth, regarding the last part, I'd LOVE to see this become more. In fact, if you have an email newsletter or a Discord server or something I'd love to join and follow along with this. Please, please keep up the good work, and I hope one day you realize what an awesome creator you are :D

Hey, I played this on stream! This was such an awesome game, jam packed with all your usual polish, amazing character art and fun spin on a classic game! I really see the rogue like thing working for this, I could imagine many more balls and even customising a ‘deck’ to get the perfect set of balls for any challenge.

I really like the art style and sound fx and overall game feel -- how switching the puck "shelves" works and so on, very nicely polished!

@thyoi the heck do you mean, the custom ball effects were the twist, it was amazing! I was getting so far into strategising all the effects and that completely changed the game for me, great twist!

I already told you in dm but I also want to leave the comment here to remind you :3
I finished the game and enjoyed it.
- Even though it's just a single level. The game feel is very polished!
- BG and UI motion is great.
- Visual is simple but harmonize thoughtout the game.
- The character & her expression is super cute!
- Even though there isn't much sound, they're all great and fit for the game/action.
- There's so many types of puck, and even a bot to play with.
For a jam entry, this doesn't feel unfinished at all. No need to be sorry ! You made this in a few day by yourself and submit it. That alone is amazing and you should be proud! <3

I'm absolutely in love with all the little moving things you definitely put big care into. All those little animations make the game have soul. And just at the moment when I was ready to close the so-called-unfinished game, you surprise me with a bunch of interesting stuff, which felt really fun and promising!

Thank you!

Very cute game, don't be so down on yourself! It's very very polished for a compo entry and is super impressive. Finishing is an achievement in and of itself.

The art is really cute and well made as usual, you did a great job on that!!

This is a super fun idea, I like the surprising amount of depth and polish! I am very good at the game but form what I played I enjoyed it, I can tell it would make for a great game even from the things that are present. Shame you couldn't finish what you planned, it would be cool to see this expanded on with more types of pucks. Hope you don't feel discouraged by this experience

This is really great! It's very well polished, and despite being short, holds up really well on its own!

There's really no need for you to beat yourself up over not finishing in time. You did a lot, and it's very high quality work! The art is cute, the visual/audio feedback is great, and it's pretty fun to play and experiment with. I'd love to see a more complete post-jam version!

So polished for a compo! And it certainly doesn't feel like an unfinished game to me, a whole lot of gameplay mechanics are showcased and there's a unique concept to boot. Also a big fan of your art! Would love to see a post-jam update and play more!

Super cute! I'm starting to think you have a certain style of games you make ;)

As others said, it feels pretty finished. I could see where this could be expanded to be like a roguelike or something though, lots of room for extra layers.

I really like how you introduce the special stuff after a short tutorial.

Great job!
