Hey everyone! : ))) Hope you enjoy my game... blood, sweat and (almost) tears were shed along those few weeks, due to some personal time constraints :))) but the result is satisfactory to me! Note: my first-ever public game. :))

Welcome to Airborn Island Delivery - deliver the package via a plane! to secluded rectangular islands. Some have a flag - eject the crate and land it successfully near a flag for 3 seconds! Sounds easy? Not always! There are "eject areas" and you can eject the create only when touching one!

Details: - A Physics game - crate ejection works based on plane speed and direction - HTML5 (JavaScript) + TypeScript : Phaser3 (game engine), matterjs (physics), ramdajs (functional helpers), parceljs (bundling), a whole lot of functional programming to the rescue : ))) - this game was made in around 10 sits, ranging from 1 to 3-4 hours (there were only 2 3-4s)

The in-game F1 (controls and tips):


  • W/S - or arrows UP/DOWN to steer plane up/down
  • SPACE - for plane high gear ;)
  • E - to eject the crate (inside green areas) ;)
  • P - to pause/unpause + WASD or arrows to investigate map
  • R - to restart a level
  • X - to exit from a level Goal - land the crate near a flag for at least 3 seconds Tip 0: pause a level with P to pan around and see the area Tip 1: ejecting the crateat different speed causes a different direction and velocity Tip 2: speeding the plane makes the ejection different Tip 3: don't crash the plane!

i like the idea of having zones to deploy because my first instinct is to cheese it by flying close to the flag and dropping it

@shreemp , @max-amaden Btw while developing on the initial idea, I had the same drive haha and I wondered how i would make it such that (I myself) don't want to cheat - thus eject areas (added the previous day before publishing)

This way the player 1) has a clearer goal / idea on where to proceed 2) is motivated to build a strategy around concrete zones 3) takes potentially 2 kinds of risk while trying to eject , e.g. near a solid object and when targetting a flag

TBH: My sketches /ideas expanded so much to include more types of objects, like wind, moving ground, rotatable eject areas, birds and spikes (for example) but time was little (for me) and i am still building my "framework" for rapid delivery.. haha , thanks! In reality 1/3 of my time went jnto fixing issues due to my physics setup not setup properly....

@max-amaden hopefully yes ! next time maybe will try the scored formats too :)) and would really look forward to playing your great LD games as you deserve, on time .. : ))
