——— Description ———

This is an online multiplayer game where you play as a small chick.

In here, your goal is to complete task in every level.

Get your friends or join other people to complete level together!

*This game contain secret mechanics. Every level can be 100% complete by just one player (Pay attention to the signs on the 3rd level) *

——— Control ———

⦿W/A/S/D - move

⦿SPACE - jump

⦿Click the sign to show the level goal/hints (You may find secrets!)

⦿Click the back button on the top left to go back to the previous level

——— WARNING ———

This game is using a server-client connection.

There will be some control delay if you are far away the server location(NA East).

If you can't connect to the server, there might be a server issue.

You can inform me the issue by commenting below, or on the itch.io page.

And hopefully you can come back to play it once the issue is fixed! :)

Such a cute game! It's nice to see a multiplayer game in the jam

I had a problem when playing alone : I couldn't figure out what to on the 4th level ("only one pressure plate works"). I tried a lot of things but had to get a real friend to play with me to finally make it and after playing with them, I still have no idea what I was supposed to do.

Also, I would have "the click to land" a "press space to land" instead, but maybe you had a reason for that.

I loved the little chicks tho, they were super cute

@saltysa Next time try clicking the sign multiple times on the 3rd level! I feel like I have to make it more obvious to solo player tho. And thank you for the kind words!

@daivyishere God I spent 5 minutes jumping on it frantically, thinking the sign might be the real pad.... I was only half wrong

I wish I had someone to play with because I feel like there is some lost potential in playing solo, anyway I think the game is actually pretty fun, the art style fits the game perfectly and so does the music! I love how you took the theme idea and made a fun party game out of it, though I feel like online games in a game jam are doomed to not catch too much traffic due to their nature. but I think you did a great job with this game, had fun even if alone :smile_cat:

@0x-void-x0 Thank you so much for playing. This is my first time making a multiplayer game for game jam. I think there's still a lot of things to improve for me. Especially when it comes to designing the whole gameplay mechanic around multiplayer co-op. Next time I will try to make a game where solo player can enjoy the gameplay while not losing the co-op design of the game.

I read the comments but I still can't figure out how to beat level 4 (clicked on the sign saw the #). Can you give me another tip?
The music is cute and I feel like a headless chicken!

Very cute graphics and music! Got stuck at the level "Only one pressure plate works". I'm guessing you can't finish it if there's nobody else playing? It would be great if you could just do everything with either just the keyboard or just the mouse instead of having to use both

@sirdorius Thank you for playing! There's actually a secret way to make you able to finish the whole game. On the 3rd level you can click the sign multiple times and follow what it says.
Thanks for the opinion, I will add a key that can trigger the *click to start*!

Haha I had a fun time! Completed it using one computer and two chicks!

Good job on the mechanics and the network code was working really well!

It was a fun experience. The music was really loud, though. I had to unscrew the sounds in the browser almost to zero.

together we passed the game. can you tell me how to go alone?)
I couldn't, so I called a friend. There was a hint about jumping, but I still didn't understand:(
the plates don 't work from jumping...

*** ---Spoiler alert--- ***

**So for those of you who stuck on the level "only one pressure plate works" because of playing solo.**

1.There's a button on the top left that makes you go back to the previous level. Go back the the 3rd level ((#)Stand on pressure plate) and start clicking the sign in the front.

2.Keep clicking until you see the "But I kind of feel like jumping :P" and start jumping until you unlock the secert form that makes your chick weight 3 instead of 1. That way you can complete the rest of the game solo.

Am I doing something wrong, I can't move or anything. Just clicking the sign over and over, I do like the music though. I really want to try this. Let me know!

this game was such a fun game to play! you are right I CAN'T STOP JUMPING ON RHYTHM hahaha
graphics are polished and nice, and it's good to have multiplayer co-op games like this one in the jam!

however i found that the theme was sadly not really well incorporated. but this game is a pure fun gem!

@daivyishere Thanks I played through it. I had to use the spoiler for the 3rd stage. I didn't see any other players online, but I think the concept is a really cool idea. I enjoyed the sfx and music.

@epicgamefan Since this is game jam. It's really hard to meet a random player who's also playing the same game. The best way is to grab a friend to play with you. Next time I will be careful not to design a whole mechanics in game fully around multiplayer co-op. Thank you for playing!

@daivyishere As you commented on mine, uou already know that i did the same.

I was planning to make some "bots" in the same spririt as Q3Arena which is the quintessential multiplayer-only game to me.

Then having devs competing with their bots offers even more challenges 🙄

I couldn't figure out how the "Only one pressure plate works" minigame was supposed to work until I went back and read the spoiler. Thanks for explaining that. This is fun, but would definitely be more fun with friends or strangers online; unfortunately I don't have the time to sort that out and had to go through the game myself.
