Description

Forest Fire is a top down game where you try to stop forest fires. The player spawns on a watch tower with some equipment to stop fires (fire extinguishers, water buckets and flares to call a plane). Fires are spreading quickly, so you have to be fast. But there is no winning, you can only delay the inevitable! The game is over when the player dies or most of the forest is burned down. Neat game! Love the graphics, the gameplay and the little quality of life improvement (like the x-ray shader, good touch). Keep up the good work! :v:

Solid game. I wish there were more inventory slots, and possibly lakes to refill buckets at. Graphics were really nice but the game doesn't seem to perform very well (I was playing in a browser, that could be the problem). Audio leaves a bit to be desired but overall its nicely polished for a game jam title.

A very interesting idea, but it's hard for me to find where the fire is:smile:

I really like this because it actually feels as though you can win against the fire and fully beat it back, all the while in the back of your mind you know you're going to lose.
I'd love to see this idea expanded on, maybe as a multiplayer game with more fun tools to use and levels you can beat. I can just picture someone screaming at their friend to hurry up with the water bucket! :)

Nice, I like it! I love the graphics, the way you created a forest just with cubes. I like the way the fire leaves back black remainders (not in reality, but in your game). I felt helpless with a little fire extinquisher or bucket. And ran back to get a refill and to the fire and being alone doing it. Wow. I liked that I could find the fire by following the sound.

Well, you know what they say... it's like puting a forest fire off with a fire extinguisher! No? Maybe they shold. Could idea, but I would love to have the actual tools to fight that fire!

Solid idea for next bigger game. Graphics is simple, but it lets player better distinguish game elements. I would improve aiming, for example with mouse not WSAD, also text tutorial seems to have mistake, because in game to interact I used F not E. Well Done!

Cool idea, but executed in a way that's one dimensional- you can either use fire extinguisher or not use it. I see that there were some ideas with buckets but I think either I don't know how to use them or this was an unfinished feature

Otherwise- great idea as I said, responsive gameplay and cool look ing, not gonna lie :D

very excellent. I gave you very high marks. my only request is that the player looks towards your mouse. Aiming is a bit difficult without that.

I liked the procedural fire system and the dynamic stylized graphics.

Sometimes it was hard to see what effect you were having on the fire, but maybe that's intentional.
The web player was laggy for me, but the windows build ran fine.

You did a good job on the helpless feeling of fighting a forest fire by yourself.
Nice Work!

A lot of cool stuff here with the procedural generation and all! I did not survive for long so probably best that I stay out of forest fires in the future

I really like the art, low polly art is very good. Good job!

The sounds were very good. I could always locate the fire from the sounds before i saw it.

Oh, and i could have used a gas mask ;) Well done

The concept is great. When there is nothing to do, the fire expanding makes me feel really in some mood. Nice work!🐱

I love it, maybe some ambient sound/music would be nice though. Hard to aim sometimes, it's odd that it allows you to use the mouse to throw but the mouse isn't actually aiming it, it always just throws directly in front of you, would be a lot better if you could move and aim separately. I also didn't realize there were stairs down for the first minute or so, i thought i had to spray the fire from the tower O_x.
