Forest Fire by LDJam user 303
Description
Forest Fire is a top down game where you try to stop forest fires. The player spawns on a watch tower with some equipment to stop fires (fire extinguishers, water buckets and flares to call a plane). Fires are spreading quickly, so you have to be fast. But there is no winning, you can only delay the inevitable! The game is over when the player dies or most of the forest is burned down. I'd love to see this idea expanded on, maybe as a multiplayer game with more fun tools to use and levels you can beat. I can just picture someone screaming at their friend to hurry up with the water bucket! :)
Otherwise- great idea as I said, responsive gameplay and cool look ing, not gonna lie :D
Sometimes it was hard to see what effect you were having on the fire, but maybe that's intentional.
The web player was laggy for me, but the windows build ran fine.
You did a good job on the helpless feeling of fighting a forest fire by yourself.
Nice Work!
Oh, and i could have used a gas mask ;) Well done
