Definitely not Titanic by Charles Viau
Embark on a magnificent journey on the Titanic. Unfortunately in the night of the 14th April 1912, the ship hits an iceberg and starts to sink. As a fellow crewmate, you start trying to save the ship by moving around, breaking barrels to get wood and patch the holes before the water gets in the ship. Despite all your efforts, you were only delaying the inevitable...
CONTROLS : WASD to move. Escape to pause and change settings
OBJECTIVE: -Destroy barrels to get wood. -Patch the holes with wood. -There are three floors, try taking the stairs.
If you are lucky enough to find a hammer (1% spawning chance), you will be able to patch the holes without using wood for the next 15 seconds! Use it wisely!
*PS: If you listen carefully to the Game level music, I've hidden "My hearth will go on'' melody in the music, we'll see if you can hear it ;)

Good job!
Very good job overall :D
I was very confused with the room switching, I though it was automatically changing but on the second try I realized that somehow I was triggering them by going into some area. Maybe make that clearer.
Also it didn't feel like I could do much to the game, so it felt just just running around and waiting to die... Maybe you could have added a hope that it could be different, or multiple timers with breaks in between? Just some thoughts.
Graphics: very nice blocky style when you are inside the ship! In the cutscene it was a bit weird that blocks had multiple sizes. Maybe the iceberg could have less fine grained cubes because that + aliasing was disturbing on the background.
Oh and great audio.
Nice submission and good job!
The cutscenes were great to, good job you all!
It felt like there were insufficient barrels right from the start. Like there should be a point where you feel like you're in control before things ramp up, but I just never found enough barrels to patch things up. Some kind of directional indicator (visual, panned sound, etc) of a barrel spawning would also have been welcome, I just kept circling through the locations hoping to find barrels.
The intro was pretty cool, as was gameover sequence, but the timing on them was a bit slow paced.
All in all pretty cool, just those things I mentioned stood out to me.
I really liked the simplicity of the graphics, and the cutscenes too. Adorable. The voxel style was just amusing to me, loved it!
I did like the ratio of barrels vs hole as the game went on, as I feel like the game might've become stale if it went on for much longer, this felt like the perfect duration of a single round! Could imagine adding increasingly harder mechanics and/or a score system or something! Thanks for submitting!
One advice. It would be better if the transition between rooms of the ship have visual cue.
I'd like to point out that in a game like this a leaderboard would be nice - just to see how well we did in comparison to others. Also you don't have to say constantly "deny the inevitable":P
And probably last, but it was already said: its hard to spot that You have to collect barrels to fix holes. Some more indication like sound would be nice.
Cutscenes **smack** perfect
@jackaljk first time doing graphics... I will make sure to look more videos online. Thanks for playing our game!
Some potential adjustments:
1. Make it easier to understand where the staircases are. I found the transitions between the regions jarring / somewhat surprising even when I knew they were coming.
2. The hammer is a nice addition to the game, but I never encountered it :/ Would be nice to have that sort of upgrade be guaranteed at least once to expose the mechanic to players.
Great work!
Other than that, nice little game, presents itself amazingly. Nice job!
@the-neon-shark You are right. We should of probably added more chances for the player to find an hammer. Thanks for playing!
@alks Yes, we will make it those little details more obivous in our next games. Thank you for your feedback!
@krzyhau Transition was really the last thing we did, should of put more time into it. We are taking notes on your feedback. Thanks for playing!

Cut-scene at the beginning and ending masterfully set the mood for the rest of the game. Gameplay is simple but engaging. I would give the level a pass on staircase visibility because at the beginning it was difficult to guess where is the exit, I tried many times to run over the stair-looking part of the ship on the top deck. Given more time I would also allow the player to explore rooms, or place more obstacles on the floors so they don't look as empty.
I've been lucky enough to find the hammer, but unlucky enough for the hammer to spawn on a floor that didn't have any holes in it, so it ran out before I could get on another floor. Need to pray to RNGesus more  Delaying lasts seconds kept me on my toes, I could get as low as 1 second, but lucky streaks of barrels and holes awarded me 15 more, and then it started ticking back. Thrilling.
The audio was 10 out of 5, which made running back and forth hella enjoyable.
Overall great & fun job :ship: :hole: :hammer_pick:
PS; now looking at the game, cut-scenes and audio I think it actually might have been a Titanic
@binaryprinciple Poor ship... We did make it so the barrels spawn less and less compare to the holes as the time gets higher (we know our game is difficult lol). We also should of highlighted the stairs. Thanks for playing and your feedback!
But I really loved the music - especially the little (spoiler maybe since someone i think called it 'it'?) 'near, far, whereEVER you are' sting in it. Absolutely fantastic - and the crewmate being named Jack, too.
I tried to find the 'exit out of map 3 times' easter egg after reading comments, couldn't though :( did find the collider bug and had fun swim-running in the gray abyss for 30 seconds though!
@mathglo Yeah, I think the frame rate might be a me thing since it happened on some other games after this one, might need to reboot my PC or something.
Just how does a ship spring a leak on the upper decks?
@bernhard Barrels spawn randomly (same thing for the hammer LOL). They can spawn on any dek. Thanks for playing !
The personality in this one is chef's kiss, I love it! So fortunate that Titanic has finally entered the public domain for this game to exist.
