It's a bit rough around the edges, both visually and in terms of functionality (separating \"cutscene\" and \"reset\" button and allowing text scrolling to be advanced), but I was quickly engrossed by the practical examples of different voting scenarios you put forth. Double-check the typos, maybe add a scenario selector and perhaps get an artist friend to give it a paintjob and this would make for a great interactive counterpart to CGP Grey's old videos. It's silly, but super interesting, and with the art style reminds me of all those blob videos you'll see on youtube about voting system.\n\nI actually got stuck on a puzzle for a good 5 minutes, but that aha moment I had when I realized it was better to be ranked second by all, and first by a few, than first by a lot, and second by a few. (bad explanation but whatever. Still! The fact I stuck around even after getting stuck shows you made a good game :) )\n\nMy only complaint is the dialogue system! The dialogue is both helpful and funny, but the text speed is suuuper slow. Second click to fill up the text box without waiting, and even an option to remove the dialog (or at least not repeat it if restarting the level).\n3. Maybe have an easier learning curve, while having the last puzzles harder to solve.\n4. More... educational, I guess, than most game jam games but I played this for a solid 15-20. I enjoyed the representations of the different voting styles. I wish my country didn't do FPTP voting  Anyway, I liked the dialogue and the gameplay; I think a bit more feedback on what's happening when could be good. For example, seeing a breakdown of votes off to the side would help with strategy when you have to repeat a level several times. Also, being able to not need to skip the dialogue over and over again would be good. This might as well been the default; and even more, I wish there were dashboards explaining exactly how much points each candidates gets and why, even pre-placing your piece, because afterwards the animations were sometimes a bit hard to follow, and the \"Achieved: X Min: Y\" was sometimes not clear, especially when the system frequently changed.\n\nAlso I wish there was a way to move back and fourth in the levels, to replay a level I didn't quite understand, or wanted to try something else (the reset button was a good choice).\n\nBesides that, I really liked the game and was fascinated by it, please make more like these, or consider polishing this one above the scope of the jam.","format":"md","likes":0,"spam":"N"},{"id":834419,"author_name":"goldenXD","author_uid":"goldenxd","epoch":1650398450,"text":"really liked it! 3d graphics were good, game was interesting and unique. very fascinating idea and very unique. fun!!","format":"md","likes":0,"spam":"N"}],"format":"md","images":["ld50\/wayback-placeholder.png"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/guygir.itch.io\/arrows-theorem","text":"Link"},{"url":"https:\/\/guygir.itch.io\/arrows-theorem","text":"Link"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"67631","g_author":"1279420","g_event":"LD50","g_eventkey":"110","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"291378","g_title":"Arrow's Theorem","g_status":"WAYBACK","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"26","g_site2_node_id":"279421","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"279421","n_urlkey":"291378","n_parent":"276397","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/50\/arrows-theorem","n_slug":"arrows-theorem","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"279420","n_created":"0","n_modified":"0","n_version":"903537","n_status":"WAYBACK"},"node":{"id":279421,"parent":276397,"superparent":9,"author":279420,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2022-04-05T01:03:38Z","created":"2022-03-26T11:09:39Z","modified":"2022-04-07T10:22:00Z","version":903537,"slug":"arrows-theorem","name":"Arrow's Theorem","body":"![GrayCover2.png](\/\/\/raw\/c73\/44\/z\/4ccc9.png)\nArrow finds himself in need to win the elections at any cost.\n\nBut it's not as easy as it sounds.\n\nFirst past the post, Borda count, IRV - will you be able to master many voting methods, to find the way to keep advancing against all odds, and finish all 18 levels?\n\nEverything was made solo and from scratch (compo rules), in a 72 hour time span.\nMusic&sfx with BFXR, audacity and FL studio\nArt with photoshop\nBased on Arrow's Theorem, Primer youtube videos, and some voting theory sources.\n\n![Screenshotslong.png](\/\/\/raw\/c73\/44\/z\/4c296.png)\n\nControls: Left click only!\n\nClick on the map to place yourself on the political 2D map and advance through the puzzles.\n\nClick on Reset to reset the level, if you couldn't achieve the goal.
