About

It’s a short horror game. With some psychedelic, puzzle and platformer elements.

You are trying to remember a number, to do that, you need to find it. The setting is during a nuclear collider testing launch, i think.

You are also pretty unstable, and looking at weird things makes you go crazy. (Mentally unstable)

It has a twist at the end.

This game is not meant to be fun, funny or pleasant. It might leave you with a bitter feeling at the end. It touches subjects some people might find sensitive, like mental health or loss of loved one.

Epilepsy Warning. Game contains flashing lights, that may provoke a seizure.

It requires a little platforming skill to finish it.

Controls

WASD to move Mouse to look Space to Jump Left Shift to Sprint *You can double jump F to interact ESC to access menu and change music volume and mouse sensitivity

Spoiler: What to do: Go out of your room, find a place with 6 cubes with numbers, then go back and search the map for small hidden cubes with answers. When you find the right number - go back to the big cubes and select(f) the answer. There are total 7 answer cubes that may have the answer. Each time you play the game the answer will be in a different cube.

Spoiler2: To get past red baby - look sideways, he is designed to stick to your face so you can run past him by looking sideways until he approaches then running away from him. EndOfSpoilers

It is unfinished, and currently you are in part/level 3 (the last one, so you can finish the game), we are working on finishing it.

The game is cool! The red baby is pretty scary. I did not understand what to do with the numbers)

It's really amazing how much a couple of image effects can do to a simple scene. It took me a while to figure out that I need to run past the monster to progress the game (I kept running from it). But otherwise I really like the "unstable" world and "mentally unstable" references. Good job!

I went into the game not having read your explanation here on the game page. After a few tries (1st death by touching the red baby, 2nd and 3rd death by screwing up a jump). I then began clicking F on boxes and the game restarted or I simply teleported back to the start? At that point I read your explanation here and I don't think I will enjoy having to run the same course a couple more times.

The creepy vibe works well, especially the first run got the hair on the back of my neck to stand up.

That's a scary game, specially that red ghost. Jumping is a bit short and floaty. I didn't know what to do exactly to finish the game but I like the world design and graphics. Good job 👍

The mood is very eerie, the art style and graphics fit together very well. I could make it to the cubes and back but didn't manage to stay away from the baby to look for small cubes. The slow movement speed and very short sprint made me unwilling to keep trying. One bug I found was that if you keep rotating the camera to one side, the pointer will get stuck on the edge of the screen and you can't keep rotating.

I enjoy the creepy atmosphere in this game! I find it difficult to accurately tell when I'll collide with something that decreases your health... The red baby sure is really scary though!

@shores Thank you for your feedback! You take damage when you look(center of screen) on creepy things.

Very nice. It was really stunning moment where I had to go back for number. Mouse sensivity could be lower.

Really great mood, feels super creepy. Though the movement and the platforming really put me off. I would've liked to be able to sprint continuesly, this would help a lot with the jumps.

You really nailed the mood of the game, gives me slender man vibes. The visual style is unique and fits really well in a horror game. Well done!

I think a lot of intros on LD take the "funny" direction cause is actually easier to deliver something in a really limited time. With that said, I think you achieved something quite hard to do in this horror game! Great job man!

Creepy!

I like the audiovisual style and the atmosphere created by it.

I didn't know what to do until after I've read your description more carefully. I think this should have been expressed better in the game.

Also, with this kind of game, I prefer if there's more focus on the story rather than player's skill. Endless jumping on platforms and escaping from the red baby (that was pretty hard!) were more off-putting than interesting or challenging.

Speaking of the red baby, it was creepy as hell, good job!

Anyway, well done with the game. You've got the right kind of atmosphere, I'd just like to see an engaging story instead.

If anyone is struggling with red baby.. you can look sideways, and trick him to go there. He is designed to be in your face. And also sorry about the movement skill being so low. At the last moment(the game had movement as in quake3arena) we butchered it otherwise it was very trivial to beat it.

@cabjhegas thank you man! Yeah I agree, it was harder to do a horror than a physics based funny game for me. It happened because when I googled unstable synonyms - mentally unstable was there and I decided I like that the most.

Great mood. Really nice visual effects and sound design to make the whole thing very scary. I'm generally not a fan of first person platforming, but the controls felt pretty good here. Some procedural courses would be neat

very scary and pretty challenging to play! Needed the tip here in the comments to get past the red baby. Is it supposed to shove me around that much? It kept pushing me into the side room lol esp with the mouse sensitivity being that high it became sort of disorienting. Really cool game overall though!

I'm not sure if I lost or won but I'm too scared to go back! Haha, oh man, but seriously - once that ghost popped out of the roof i full on considered skipping this game so that I wouldn't have to run past it. panicked and interacted with all the buttons at the end and it seemed to work out well. Btw, I LOVE floating platforms in a void so I'm always super glad to see those in a game!

It was over boring, the platforming was stuffy, the shift was so generally quiet horror. And not the least bit scared anything. I don't know what you wanted to convey with your game, huh).

Wow, that floating ghost thing totally got me good! The idea of your 'health' being tied to looking at horrible things is pretty cool. The overall aestethic is nice, and along with the glitch effects it completes the mood well. I think the sensitivity was a little too high, but it wasn't game-breaking or anything. Well done!

very atmospheric game! I must thank you for not adding jumpscares lol (as far as I played), I kind of wish you had more stamina but I really enjoyed playing it, the red dude chasing you is also a good addition to make you feel even more anxious, really well done, good work !

This game has a nice promise, but I feel it's a little overdone so it ruins the horror-anxiety vibe it gets at the beginning. My thoughts in my LP:

Nice job on the atmosphere! The audio and the glitchy graphics work well. Only notable issue I really had was the collision with the floating ghost. Got stuck against the wall one time before I even saw him. All around though it's a pretty solid game.

Very interesting game. I loved the mood of the game.

Graphics are very well produced. The visual aspect of your game is something very unique in this gamejam so far.

The sound is well produced and well used in your game. Every mood in the game is favored by the sound.

The gameplay is interesting. The fact of having to run and jump on platforms gives an interesting depth to the game.

His interpretation of the theme is very creative and sensitive. A nice approach.

If I may suggest it, I believe your game could have more clear instructions related to the game's objectives. I myself only understood what should be done after reading the spoilers you wrote on the Ludum Dare page. And yet I wasn't able to complete your game. But I understand that the limited time of a gamejam may have prevented you from crafting something like that.

Anyway, it was a very well produced game. Good job!
