The three witches have forgotten to take their medicine. Your task is to give it to them and cure their mental instability before they destroy the world.

Controls: * Move: WASD * L Click/shift: Use your weapon * Numbers 1-3/Scroll wheel: Select your weapon * Space: Jump/Double jump and skip cutscenes * Escape: Quit the game * Backspace: Restart level

Tips: * Throw medicine at witches to cure their insanity. * The first witch's rain attack will destroy three blocks underneath it and damage you as well. * When the rain falls it raises the water level which can make you drown. * Fireballs explode dealing damage and burning away blocks near them. * Use summoned ice blocks to jump higher or even reset your jump mid air. * Moon monsters will eat all the cheese they run into unless you kill them with a fireball.

Fun stuff, a bit hard at times - you can sometimes get caught in a corner with no way out...
Nice music and great to hav such a finished game!

First of all, the art and music is very well done.
Movement feels sometimes too slippery, but it's fine most of the time. I don't think that it's good design, if the game is sometimes impossible to complete. Maybe some platforms could be unbreakable so the level is all time beatable.

@monninen Actually the blocks at the beginning respawn in 15 seconds, so you can lure the destruction elsewhere (the withces alway target you with their magic) and then try again to use the platforms when they respawn. Also you can lure the witch to clear the way for you.

For the slipperiness, I'm using box2D engine and tried to play with values but couldn't remove the sliding effect altogether.

I love the character designs, haa! I was able to make some pretty cool trickshots with the pills. My strategy was to get the character high enough to throw a pill and hit the wizard while falling back down to bring the wizard into the trajectory of the pill. It let me skip a pretty good potion of each level.

I love the music too! This game was just entirely too adorable. Great work all around!

The music is really cute and fits with the theme really well 🤣 I also loved how the game started getting more unstable and glitching at the end. Great job with this one!

Skills are intentionally a bit underwhelming because in the story you are just a nurse and not a witch, so witches' staffs won't have the same effect in your hands. Still you do your best with what you have to save the world from collapsing 💪🏼

Very cute game! I didn't read the controls like a dummy so I wasn't sure how to throw medicine on level 2 but that's my fault. Good job!

Awww... I think the controls could be told better inside the game, because someone else from our test group ran into same problem.

I thought "hand inventory" would be familiar from minecraft and many other games and would be intuitive enough.
Do you think it would help if I put numbers under the items?

Yeah that might help. Or for clicking on the hotbar to not care if something is selected? It's a minor issue in the grand scheme of things, though!

Really fun to play ! There is just a problem when throwing pill's sometime it goes directly down, it was a bit weird but we can just jump on the with so it's not a big issue ^^

@duskel actually the cloud under the witch blows the pill away. It's not very well translated to the player, but I did it just to prevent total cheesing by shooting it from straight below without even going up.

wow, this game is so cute! love how well the aesthetics complement the game, and how well the gameplay translates to the theme. biggest issue was mostly not realizing that i needed the mouse to play the game at first, but that's on me for not reading the controls.

@stellarluminant You don't neccessarily need mouse, you can also change weapons with keys 1-3 and use them with shift... But truth to be told, the ice cubes are bit clunky to place without the mouse.

The music was phenomenal, it was so satisfying hearing that success music! You can cheese a bit by jumping up along the edge of the screen, but I avoided cheating so I could feel the game's intended difficulty. I loved the mechanics and the different items to use that you collected to help you beat the final witch. The game was really awesome and super impressive overall. The glitching blocks and windows are a cool touch. Nice job!

I loved the design of the nurse, really cute and her walking animation is amazing. Took a while before I realizied how the mechanics worked, but after I did it was really fun. Nice take on the theme and also very engaging premise for your story. But I have but one question: Why is there a nicely designed "ENTER" button at the start of the game (might have tried to click on it... once or twice :D )? I mean, you could have just used a text screen that says "press enter". That's not an criticism, I just need to know why. Why the extra work? It's a really cool looking button.. but why?

Thanks for the praise :) ...about the enter button: It's my game group's current intro until we make a better one. Blackenter Software is the group's name - hence the black enter -key in on the starting screen 😄

Very chaotic, challenging and pretty entertaining game! Funny audio, visuals and dialogs - well combined and atmospheric.

Some remark on polishing: game frozen and then crashed on second playthrough after beating the second level and before following cutscene - I was clicking and pressing [space] to skip cutscene faster.

Nice entry!

Thanks for the nice review!

I haven't been able to pinpoint the crashing, because it happens very rarely and only some testers have reported the game crashing once or twice. I can't reproduce the crash on built version on my computer so it's just guesswork what could cause the rare crashes.

I love this game. The ice wind is OP. Managed to get to the final level which I found pretty difficult. Great entry

@retrome Hey, I tried my game at work today and I actually think I found the reason for the crash. I'm going to try to fix it when I have time. If I'm right it is - like you said - indeed about pressing certain keys during the transition and can be fixed by disabling those keypresses during the transition.

Fun game! You can easily get stuck with some of the platforms falling but it's not a big issue. The best approach I found is by getting to the witches as fast as possible before too many blocks fall.

Art style is very cute and the music is very good! My game did crash once but that's because I was playing on linux. Other than that one time, the game ran as intended!

Good work on your entry it was a ton of fun :p

This was a nice little game. I did sort of restart the first level as I wasn't sure how to climb up after all the platforms had been destroyed (I did not know they would come back, etc), but after that it was smooth sailing.

I particularly think the ice wand is a lot of fun because of its midair jump reset, which allowed me to do a lot of climbing without nearly as many platforms.

I think the idea that each of the witches is experiencing a particular mental health condition, which is symbolized through the gameplay, is pretty neat--but I must admit not much of that was on my mind while playing the game (aside from possibly the last witch with disassociation, as parts of that screen did kind of draw my mind in that direction). I think that making those thematic elements even more explicit, if at all possible, could be really cool.

As it stands, though, the game was fun to play through. The story was sufficient to make it work, and the variety of mechanics and aesthetic themes keep the game feeling fresh throughout.

Thank you very much for the thorough review! Nice that you played the whole game through and also did a top 5 speedrun time 😊

About the mental conditions: I had originally planned longer levels and at certain point, the witch would enter "rage mode" that would better higlight the condition.

First witch would begin crying and pushing the player away, flooding the place fast. Second would try to torch the player with flamethrower spell and the third one would go into some glitch hulabaloo. (the end twist would also have made more sense with that)

Quite early I decided we don't have the time for the rage modes - and the balancing of gameplay for them - if we want to finish the game.

Also, I thought to put more mental stuff to the cutscene scripts, but I thought it could darken the achieved light mood too much if the player gave words of therapy for the witches after drugging them and the witches told how it helped solve their problems... Also it would have been too much text, so we decided to keep it simple.

I'll enhance the game a bit later so maybe I'll revisit the insanity theme better.

AMAZING!!!! loved the game. very impressive that you guy managed to make this game with clickteam fusion. And the leaderboard is a very nice feature, currently im first on there lol. The game is very very fun and its pretty humorous. The art is... i wouldnt say its bad because its meant to be like that, but i wouldnt say its good either. I would say that the art is just humorous. Also had a few problems at the begining where the game constantly crashes. But i didnt encounter any bugs later on. great game for only 3 days

@retrome I fixed bug I think caused the crashes. If you are still following, can you assure it's fixed

@skvader fixed the bug that causes you to get so fast times, could you try the new version if you can still cheese your way up to high scores?

Very nice game, it get a little bit hard each time but very cool. I would love to have a mini tutorial at the start for the basic movement inputs as I forget that we can double jump at first.
