Farm and Mine by general
We are Airapport team, just 2 people making games. Long ago we promised a game about drilling to the center of the Earth to the players of our other games, but we postponed the start of work many times. So, the current LD48 theme lets up recollect our intention.
We created fresh characters and structures for the game specifically for Ludum Dare. We used existing game interface (buttons and panels).
You start as s farmer. The game tutorial guides you through the process of growing, harvesting, and selling the vegetables.
Then you will unlock a kitchen, where you can cook from the vegetables. And finally - the mine which lets you dig deeper and deeper under the surface of the Earth.

4/29 0205: ran into a bug, clicking on the vegetable market came up tith an option to sell resources to get more money on the 'market' which I clicked on and then it disabled all functions, clikcing on any upgrade button did nothing. I had to resart the game for it to respond again.
4/29 0249: I have tons of coal and iron, but I see no way of sellinh or doing anthing with it. Collecting resources is always fun but I dont see any immediate goals.
4/29 :0903 Have tons of resources with nothing to do but upgrade the machinery. Thinking about using the cheat now... also I have no idea what the chef is doing.

First the good things:
- graphics are nice and fit very well together
- animation is really good.
- the basics mechanics with the farm work pretty good and are fun
Some feedback for improvement:
- the Coin counter at the top could be a bit larger
- the kitchen does not seem to do very much besides the animation, which is wierd.
- the scaling of the seller is too slow to keep up with vegetables (Maybe add a second market stand or some other possibilities to process the food and sell these products on another market stand).
- I found no way to do something with the coal and the iron So right now there is not much benefit from mining.
- There is no logical connection in the game between the farming and the mining. There shoud be a reason why a farmer should go mining now (perhaps that you need coal to cook vegetables or something like that)
So in summary the only part of the game that feels finished for me is the farming and selling the vegetables. The kitchen and the mines don't earn me money. So i wonder why they are in the game. For this jam I would have liked to see more focus on the mining and that to be the main gameplay. Just an idea of me to tie the elements together would be: Farm and sell vegetables for the beginning, produce food in the kitchen for the miners, mine ore to sell it, expand from here (process ores etc.)
After all it was fun but I think that some improvements I mentioned would make it so much better.

The first time I played, I think I had some bug where the crops stopped growing completely. I waited a few minutes and restarted and everything worked the second time around.
The core gameplay loop is quite addictive. As a sound person, I hope you can get a sound designer and composer to work on aspects of audio, that would make the whole experience feel much nicer.
The left-most button in the upgrade section confuses me. Does it show the next upgrade option not the current one?
I don't usually play idle games so I'm a bit enlightened how it's a nice sort of background task while doing other stuff. Pretty cool!
EDIT: I can't figure out how to sell my mined ores? Is that implemented in the game?
At a mining stage there are no reason to gather ore or coal. It made gameplay pointless :(
The graphic, by the way, are nice.
p.s. Also there is a bug if you click "market" inside mine shop.
Расстроило, что после первого сбора очень долго ждать урожай. Если не баг - надо бы вначале сделать меньше ожидания, а потом уже полагаться на оффлайн!
Из плюсов бы выделил:
- разнообразный и обильный функционал: фермы, магазины, шахты - много всего
- возможность апгрейды не по одному уровню, а сразу несколько
- хорошо продуманный баланс: поначалу неспешно качаешься и успеваешь понять полностью механики игры
Из минусов:
- все же немного неочевидно поначалу было что делать. Не сразу понял (хотя и до сих пор не до конца), что работает только тот элемент, по которому кликнул последний раз. И овощи возле маркета как будто куда-то девались (хотя на деле они просто уменьшались)
- не всегда удобный UI. Например монеты плохо видно, и поначалу даже не разглядел некоторые значки апгрейдов
По итогу очень хорошая игра! (но требует много времени, чтобы освоить ее полностью. ;)
The progression works quite well, and that's the most important thing for idle games, so good job !
I think you could have skipped the first phase with vegetables to make everything turn around mining, maybe it would have made it fit a bit more with the theme. Currently the mining part feels a bit pointless because the resources you get with it cannot be sold.
