I really enjoyed while playing great job, congrats to the whole team :v:
Audio and graphics are really good, the music is one of the best I've heard in a jam game and the pixel art is beautiful. This makes a great mood.
Maybe an option to skip dialogues could be good, when you are looking for a clue you sometimes trigger the same dialogue multiple times.
** Spoiler **
I couldn't finish it tho, I was stuck once I got the key of utter destruction and the green mask and couldn't find what to do next.
Congratulations to the team, this is my favorite game of the jam so far!
Congrats to the team.
(I'm not familiar with point and click, I can't figure out what to do with the pink key )
I only noticed one small issue with a door frame/wall near the clock overlapping the player towards the end of the game.
I really loved it. Thanks for making and sharing it!

Review: What a super impressive work of art! The art, music and mysterious story really came together nicely! This has so much potential. Are you planning to continue working on it? :)
Fun story, and unexpected end.
EDIT: finished it and liked it even more! I must admit the ending felt a little abrupt, but it was still super enjoyable to play! I agree with others that some dialogues could be skippable, especially if you click multiple times on the same things to see if the interacion changes or if you discover something new though... Cheers and great little game!
loved the art, the music was absolutely great (I loved the "Suspiria" type track) and it has really comfy feel of the classic point and click games. One of my favs so far!
The graphics are beautiful. The story is great.
The riddles were fair and solvable in time. Only one riddle, was hard to guess.
The controls were as expected (that means good), inventory was easy to find and control.
You have done a great job and i did really appreciate the fact that you have build a point & click adventure.
Really well done!
But, I did get stuck pretty early! If anyone could give me a hint so that I can pick this back up again that would be great. I couldn't find either the nicotine, or a key to the bathroom.
There seems to be a small layering issue once you turn on some light.

I got stuck on the skull in the beginning (I'd say making players pixel-hunt the same item twice is not fun), but then I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of rooms - usually jam adventures have much fewer screens. Also nice work on the after-party bits, I was totally expecting the game to end in the basement.
11/10, will play again.
There is not much to say except really small details that have no reason to be pointed for a jam (cause the level of polish is increeeeeedible). If you want to take it further, consider the possibility to skip dialogues and maybe a little pass on the affordance/logic of some elements (i'm thinkin about the pack of smokes).
But this is being picky for the LD.
Amazing entry, one of the best. Godd job :)
Usually I like point and click, but they are too hard, this one is easy enough to tell a story in a fluid way without being too easy, I really liked the twist (the two twist I could say).
Special mention to the embedded credits !
The art, sound and game mechanics are solid.
Story's great and that ending part's well done.
(the game was really really awesome too)
A tiny feature request. Dialog cancel animation would be cool. Since you click like a maniac in this game, you would happy to cancel same dialog you have viewed for the 100 times.
The game is visually very beautiful, I love the pixel art! The music is also very good. And of course, the story was nice, had a laugh here and there. Had fun solving the little puzzles and completing the game while also investigating all the other stuff. Very polished.
Amazing entry, well done!
Positives:
- Love the art, music and sound
- The two twists at the end were funny
- I liked being able to explore the house after the twist and seeing what everything _really_ is
- Dev room!
Critiques:
Game suffers from some of the standard Point-and-Click pain points
- Lighter puzzle resulted in sever pixel hunting, as the lighter was not super obvious, maybe some way to make interactables a bit more clear to avoid pixel hunting?
- Some of the puzzles were a little obtuse, which is why I imagine you had the NPCs tell me where to find things?
Really awesome game, super cute, loved it!
I suggest that you develop the game further so that the mansion is bigger and with more puzzles.
Congratulations to all involved.
P.S.: There is a little bug with the movement. In some moments the characters are shaking going from one side to the other very fast.
As a huge P&C fan, I was thrilled to see another game of this genre. Not many LD entries do that. The atmosphere and the graphics are just gorgeous. I can't believe you actually made so many rooms! And the animations are just smooth as hell. Love the toungue in cheek humor as well. Just brilliant guys. Loved every single second of it.

That you see all the scenes at the end with the light on and it really ties all the loose ends
Really great
And the fact you have the credits in there!
IN the game - perfectly integrated!
Amazing - masterfully done - can I refer to you 5 as "sempai" from here on out plz :-D?
I found the fact you have to open the loo with the weird blade counter-intuitive
that got me scratching my head for a bit
but I made it till the end
and I'm so glad I did
Very very fun - thanks - sempais <3 :grinning:
So I really like your game and I'm streaming Ludum Dare 48 games on saturday with my friend Teauorent on his Twitch channel - https://www.twitch.tv/teauorent - Saturday May 1st 4PM CET

Keep it up! I'd love to see more in the future!
The graphics are perfect and I was really immersed into the universe...
Nothing else to say, really... Congrats !
I came here thanks to my teammate (Tyrannas) and I have no regrets !
My English vocabulary is too limited to tell you how much I loved your little game. It reminded me of my first point and click :D The music and graphics were beautiful and everything was so smooth. Please, continue like this ! I really hope to see your team again in a next jam :)
But I loved the art, music, atmosphere and the idea with 2 layers of reality.
Yeah we have quite a few things to implement for the post-jam version thanks to all the great feedback we've gotten! It's very rewarding even if we wish we could implement them now for everyone to play!
Also a big thanks to all the people who have given feedback so far! It's quite overwhelming!

As you requested Here is my Playthrough of your game.
https://youtu.be/EQxwoy63ltw
I got stuck a little bit before realizing the lighter is in the kitchen.
Other than that it was a fantastic game. Watch the vid for more feedback :)
Also check out our game if you want to.
Its incredible that you did it in only 3 days!
Extra points for the photo gallery and references to the creators (plus the star wars figures on the bookshelf, surprised they're recognizable in so few pixels)!
Really very impressive work, great job!
Thank you so much for bringing this by my stream. Here's a link to the VOD:

Sorry, I lost my connection in the middle of playing. Pretty much the whole thing is there though.
Congrats to the team, really good job!
EDIT: here is the link to the video https://youtu.be/mYqBFQerlCI?t=7234
The game was fun !
Animation, graphics, music and writing are amazing !
Only two minor suggestions: I wish there was a way to skip text & second, it would be a bit more comfortable if there was some kind of hinting/highlighting of interactable objects, so it doesn't get too tedious to find items. Apart from that, great job!
Very polished for an LD game. I mean, most people barely manage to put their game together at the very last moment, but you even had time to add ingame credits as an easter egg with the portrait room. That was a nice touch.
I generally try to make a leave more constructive comments, but there is not much to say here. Only minor complaint is that it was a little hard to figure out the cigarettes. You know that there is something there because of the hint by the zombie downstairs, and since clicking on the bed is a separate interaction that does nothing, it doesn't go through your mind that you must click at the top. It doesn't help that it doesn't really stand out, it looks like a regular pillow in the bed drawing.
I see only three little drawbacks to the game :
- Having to click multiple times on an item to get it is completely counter intuitive (and absolutely not fun) ^^'.
- The text is REALLY slow ^^'. I would have loved to make it appear completely by clicking again. In fact, I hesitated to click needlessly sometimes because I didn't want to be stuck in a text line... And that's where the "clicking multiple times on the same object" completely destroyed me.
- ... Where is the theme ? And no, we don't go "deeper and deeper" in the house, we just... visit it ? It's not different than any house from any point'n'click game (or any game, regardless of the genre).
That being said, I want a more complete point'n'click game from you guys. Like, really. You're very talented, do you work in the video game industry ? Do you have more work somewhere ?
Awesome art, awesome music, the humor is great.
The only issue that I had was with using items: I spent like 3 minutes to be able to put that stool in the right spot...
Other than that, its a 5/5 in every category for me (except theme lol), just an outstanding work!!
Thanks for submitting it! -PomoTheDog
I did get a little stumped looking for the cigarettes. Because the interactables aren't clear one does tend to just haphazardly start clicking everything is sight when you get stuck - just in case it yields something. But then again that's half the fun (and I see where I went astray now).
It was a really delightful entry. Kudos to your whole team!
It would be nice to have a savegame system to be able to pause playing and resume later. Anyway, awesome job. The art is super slick and the music fits the game soooo well!
Grats to the whole team to make such a masterpiece!
Спасибо! ^_^
I appreciated the fact that there wasn't a lot of pixel hunting or weird interactions like it tends to be the case with point-and-click adventures. Everything JUST.MADE.SENSE, which allowed me to be more invested in the mystery. The plot twists at the end were really fun.
Graphics and sound were top notch.
Congrats, this is one of the most solid entries I've played so far!
- You should have said the music was from the internet because I remember another game had it
- Liked the plot twist at the end
Beautiful sound, beautiful art, good progression and a delightfully spooky and cute story.
Feels like a "real" game through and through, and within seconds of playing I stopped thinking "this is a good LD game" and started thinking about what might happen next.
The game is really well done. Graphics, animations and music are so polished. I like the story and the plot twist at the end of the game. What I would like to know is what happened to the cat? :)
Here is a timed link for the stream:

Thank you for this work :))

I got stuck a few times; The lighter didn't stand out as an interactive object, I had clicked all the cabinets earlier and assumed I had checked everything there. Using the knife to open the door was really what got me stuck for a long time. I walked around everywhere checking everything and finally had to read the comments. I assumed a key would open the door. Maybe there was dialog that suggested I use it there, but I never encountered it.
Small nitpick ahead; I think it would be a bit more fun and interesting if there were some puzzles outside of playing find-the-key.
Anyway...
Very good entry! Good job everyone!
There are two more UX-things I would have liked:
1. Change the mouse when hovering over something clickable
2. Make the text skippable when clicking rapidly to reduce waiting
Other than those few things, I really loved my experience with Blackout. Good job!
It is a nice and simple adventure to play through and a pleasant story with a bit of a twist even  Very enjoyable. I wished there was a way to click away the text that you've already seen. And I didn't really find the text-reveal sound necessary.
My only real criticism is that I don't really see a connection to the theme here. Great work otherwise!
In a way I would like to say that I hoped this gets further developed but honestly, I don't think it needs that. It's perfectly fine as it is. But Marilyn could perhaps get another installment, that I'd love to see! Huge thumbs up for making this in Godot as well. Keep up the good work, looking forward to see more from you
The art and music were wonderful, I loved the writing, cool puzzles, super good game!
The story, the puzzles, the music, the atmosphere. It's all really great.
This is definitely my favourite entry.
I think the interface could use some small tweaks -
- When hovering on something intractable in the room, to have some text saying what it is.
- When trying to use the wrong item on something - to have a specific reaction, instead of the usual text.
- The text takes time to appear, and sometimes I get the same text (like when pressing on the book shelves trying to look at different stuff) and It's annoying to have to wait for it to end when I've already read it. This happens a lot.
Great Entry!!!
It would be great to have a white outline when hovering over interactable objects when hovering your mouse over them to make it a bit more clear what can be clicked.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1011787711
Really enjoyed the use of subpixel animation and the palette work. The screen with the jackolantern especially, great colors.
This was a really good entry and i only have two suggestions if you guys plan on working on this more but other people have said same or similar stuff:
-button to speed text when I accidentally click him again
-just a change to cursor so I know if I can click on something or not (doesn't need to be highlighted or text sayingwhat it is imo)
graphics, story, mood, audio: omgosh so good thanks for sharing it to me! I ended up watching the last part on someone elses stream because I missed a bit of the end haha
I think the only thing it's missing is a way to speed up dialogues.
Awesome experience!
I believe you should add a different phrase for when an inventory item is misused. Perhaps the only flaw is that the theme is not fully involved. However a fantastic entry!
but the ending left me feeling a bit let down, like, to tell me "well it was all for nothing" after me putting all the effort into playing and finishing the game just didn't feel very rewarding.
i felt sad that i couldn't put the mask on, heheh.
some feedback for gameplay, it's not very clear when something has another interaction that you need to click for, vs if you'll just say the same thing again. i think some kind of indication, through dialogue or UI, that lets you know you should keep clicking would be good, especially because there's no way to skip dialogue, so having to sit through the same dialogue again as punishment for an exploratory click is pretty frustrating. on that note, a way to skip through dialogue would be good too.
overall, wonderful job!
If you want to make this a more full-length game, or a full-length game with a different story based on this engine, you'll need to address the pixel hunting.
The music is outstanding! Marvelous work all around. The story was charming, especially when you run into people after the lights are on. "The drink was a little funky though" hahahaaaaaa! get pranked. Outstanding job.
Was super fun to play, and challenging too! Loved the style of game, one I didn't see in this jam yet... loved the ending too how all the lights came on! (You can tell I loved this game)
A delightful and awesome game, thanks for bringing it by the stream :two_hearts:
Only other thing was I clicked the broom thinking it was the "wrong" option but it was the right one so I never got to see what happened if you did actually get the feathers.
Also during the bright time you can visually clip behind the wall near the grandfather clock, just fyi.
Very impressive game.
Music, art, humor... liked everything about it, well done
And it's nice to see some godot games!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXa1tb-HJWU
Got stuck at finding the ligther, had to check playtrough video.
But really love the atmosphere, the interactions and the twists !
(also the credits room ^^)
I wish I could see again the mysterious cat !
Great job !
The Graphics are really awesome and the Music/Sound is totally on point.
I loved the two twists in the game and it was a huge fun to explore the game.
A great job for such a short time and especialy for that feel of polish of the Game.
Well Done
This game was absolutely wild. The audio, visuals, narrative, and everything about this game was top-notch. I do with I had an in-game cursor that told me what was and wasn't interactive, but that's such a small complaint compared to everything else you all managed to accomplish with this one. Nice job!!
Music and art work very well with the tone. Nice oldschool quest game!
That being said, these things are definitely not something that anyone could expect to be in a jam game and these kinds of game feel touches would blow the scope too big. So they are rather ideas for an actual future version that people would probably happily pay money for. Good job!
I really liked the whole theme of the house in the dark where you couldn't really see much. It was really nice exploring everything again along the course of the game. Some objects were a bit hard to find, but you included enough hints everywhere that I didn't get stuck anywhere.
There was a surprising amount of animation! That (combined with the nice graphics) made exploring the house a real treat. The music was great to listen to, it captured the mood nicely and varied a lot, so it keeps beeing interesting to listen for a looong time.
Thanks for your submission!
Very beautiful art, nice character animations. Great sounds right from the start, really good music. All these together with entertaining item descriptions created a wonderful atmosphere.
Cigarettes under sheets looked like pillow, so couldn't find it, had to take a peak at the screenshots to see the solution. Everything else was pretty straightforward.
Kind of expected the first twist, so the second one was really unexpected.
Overall, it was a really enjoyable game from start to finish, thank you for the opportunity to experience it!
