Hyper Harvest is a frantic tile matching game made in Pico-8. Both the updated HTML5 and compo source code are available on itch.io, or as a pico cardtrige down below.

You can match two identical tiles that are in line (diagonal or orthogonal), no matter how far apart they are, as long as no other tile is in between. Once a line has been cleared of fruits, it'll disappear. Don't let them get to the top.

Controls:

Arrow keys - Move
Z - Pick/Match a tile
X - Speed up

If at any point a fruit reaches the top, after a brief time, it'll get crushed. Whenever a fruit is crushed, you will get waste(indicated by skeletons in the bottom right). As soon as you get 5(or more) waste, it's game over. waste.png

The speed of the game increases with each level. You gain a level whenever you have harvested 8 pairs of fruit. levels.png

You gain points for harvesting. You get a bonus according to your current level and for harvesting fruit that are far apart.

Post-submission bug fixes: "Matching" empty cells was possible.

Post-compo changes: Music. Auto-movement. New Combo system.
