impressive how much you got done in 48 hours. i like the different rooms, they play quite differently. the look and art is very good. everything is quite polished. only thing i disliked is the feel of the jump.

I really liked the minimap system! But jumps looks like a moon jump, maybe applying gravity a little hard will be better. Great work!

The minimap was a nice feature, handy to see where the enemies are. The jump did feel a little floaty to me.

great game

the minimap is in an odd spot, but it is useful

I have to agree about the jump, it felt like I was waiting for it to end most of the time

the upgrades & rooms to purchase are cool though, makes the game more addicting

This is cool. Very cool concept. People have mentioned this already but the jumping feels a bit "moon like". The mini map was cool but would have preferred it to be larger and maybe just off to the side. That's just preference though. Great job!

very cute and fun! I wish the camera was just a bit further zoomed out to reduce reliance on the minimap a bit, since once I noticed it I felt like I was focusing on it during combat more than the rest of the screen. Would love to see some enemies that slowly wobble towards you as early as the second wave to keep the fights from feeling too static. Though I really liked the character and environment sprites

Platforming felt a bit tricky at times, especially in the more complex levels. Other than that, solid and fun game!

Control is strange. And I expect more upgrade. There are another strange thing that I find unlocking most door is meaningless

Cool game, I really liked the idea!
Just a tip would be to only keep the game one directional. Lets say each new map is on the right and you continue in a straight line. And unlocking the maps should be if you manage to complete the map before. It's a tad strange to keep "saving" an area from the gas emitting plants and they come running back when you need money. :)
So a key system for the new maps and only use the gold for upgrades.
Other people mentioned the jump and I agree that it felt a tad spacey.
And only play each part of the map once so that you don't abuse the fact that the first map is super easy and you can practically finnish the game by just playing and farming gold there.

As these are just some thoughts of improvement it doesn't change the fact that the current version was awesome for a compo and you did a splendid job! :D

Agree about the jump, air movement sideways seems to sensitive or maybe we fall to slow.
In a platformer like this, getting controls right can make a huge difference.
Love the graphics and the minimap!

I agree that the minimap feature added a lot to the game  I like games like this where you save up money for progression  I made it all the way to the cannon

I had fun playing the different levels, but the progression is weird, the most efficient way to progress I found was playing the first level over and over again. The controls are ok but could be a bit tighter, they feel slippery
