Cool concept and I liked the drama of the opening scene. The gameplay itself was easy as you can move faster than the enemy it was quite easy to just run around the level and grab things to complete the game. Given more time it would be great to see some upgrades or similar for the player and some greater enemy variety. But well done for getting a game done in a weekend, no mean feat great work!

Use WASD to move your character. Health indicator in the top left corner. I've downloaded and checked it right now, it works fine.

The game was fun, but it would have been nice to see some variation in the gameplay. While powerups/levels definitely would have been cool, even some variations on what the enemies were doing would have made this better. Even just to have some that moved faster than I did so I had to deal with them would have been nice. Ultimately, I found it easy to just keep a train behind me and ignore the enemies most of the time.

It would also have been nice to have some simple hit reaction, SFX and maybe some flashing on the player. It was kind of hard to tell when I got hit.

Overall, it was a solid game, if a little same-y.

I think that for $5 per hour he could help monsters with invasion. Why not?

This game surprised me in how fun it is to navigate.

I don't know if it's intented, but I often chose to ignore the enemies and just walk past them to get the sacred items as there were too much of them to kill. It was fun to figure out how to avoid them though!

And the guard's walk is just something else, it's so sassy and fun, just makes me feel unstoppable hahaha

Thank you for this game!

Fun graphics and music, they give such a fun vibe. But the gameplay is quite boring. Enemies can not be beaten, but just run away from them, they are slower anyway. And so the gameplay turns into slow boring moving all over the map in search of 4 artifacts...

I liked the concept of artifacts you need to find and place on the altars to complete the stage. It's awesome. I was planning to introduce the similar mechanic to my game, but abandoned the idea due to time limitations. Overall, nice work!

well-drawn characters and a good plot, a reference to a night at the museum?
Congratulations on Wednesday!

@andrewbyte

It is not a bad game. The attack cycle is on a timer.

I picked up something but could not put i in the altar.

Had to use task manager to kill the game to exit.

@beebster-games every relic that you pick needs to be placed on it's own altair, not any. There are hints with color on each relic and stone.

Big fan of the guard design, there's a lot of character there. Had fun with this overall, could see it being a good foundation to add more to as well. Well done!

I glad at least healthcare included, since i haven't seen fighting demons in my job requirements.

But, imho, the game lacks visual feedback of what happens to my character. I think it's important to see why and when my health drops.

I love the pixel art of monsters and cops, especially the donkey. There are three levels of this game, but the experience is little redundant, you just need keep walking around and collect all items and come back the center of map, which make the battle totally meaningless. I feel that if the appearance of item is conditional and according to the killed count, things will become greatly different.Anyway, very cute art and music. Good job.

Pretty graphic, but after one level becomes boring cuz of lack of mechanics(

Good and simple, but hard to tell where the altars were. Could have been better with more interaction with the enemies! Nice work though.

I liked the graphics and music. As for gameplay, I was collecting decorations but wasn't quite sure where to take them—figured it out later from screenshots in comments by other players. The image jumps during movement, which is a bit disappointing. Moving diagonally seems faster than moving horizontally and vertically at the same time.

Nice entry, although the club wasn't especially useful. I basically could run circles around the demons (I like the pixel art btw)

Interesting visual design and premise.
However there are a few small areas of oversight that have a knock on effect for the game.
Things like diagonal movement and lack of feedback elements for hit registration have already been mentioned.

However there are other things missing like a method to return to the menu or close the game. And also continuous attacks from enemies, currently it seemed that enemies would only deal damage once upon reaching the player's collision model but then they would essentially just act as a buffer from further enemies since they didn't continue attacking.

Overall a decent premise that could really shine with some further polish.

That was a neat game. I liked the particle effects when putting an artifact on a pedestal. Very satisfying. The levels could use more variation and also the player should maybe be forced to fight the monsters in some way. I just found myself walking around everything to get things. The game also lagged a bit and all the levels felt the same. The art during the opening cutscene was nice to look at.
