Deep State by LDJam user 385017

[raw]
made by LDJam user 385017 for Ludum Dare 55 (JAM)

I know that it's probably not a good moment for making game in such period of time, but i had this idea for a very long time and i think that it is one of the most interesting parts of human history.

Decide results of different middle east conflicts. Change history and see how your decisions change map.

In future i'll add more conflicts and more decisions, but what you'll see in game is all what i have for a moment. Thank you for your attention.screenshot1.pngscreenshot2.png

There is no content after: 1) Six Day war (Arab States triumph) 2) Six Day war (Stalemate) -> War of Attrition (all decisions) 3) Six Day war (Israel's triumph) -> Arab uprising (all decisions)

Update: Added end game screen

A terrible game that tries to distort the player's worldview, and the start button in Russian, awful.

First pass I tried to keep things at a stalemate and continue peace talks, but then the 3rd war presented no options for progression (Yom Kippur War)

Second pass I chose "Arab States Triumph" for the first war (Six-Days War) and supposedly that means peace for eternity??

Third pass I chose "Israel Triumphs" and the second war's options only had one choice that worked.

Not sure if any of this was intentional or just bugs as a result of it being a game jam.

In any case, I can appreciate the effort. Simulating global conflict is difficult, much less in 72 hours.

@isayneigh Thank you for your feedback <3. These are not bugs but just lack of time for making more events and players decisions.

@emty Thank you for your feedback <3. I am really sorry to hear that, i didn't mean to distort anybody's worldview and because of that u can make different decisions with opposite outcomes. Thank you for noticing the button bug, i will try to fix it as soon as possible.

Can't play this because of my platform but wow, a game about the situation in the middle east is a big swing. Regardless of your position on it, most people wouldn't even dare to attempt such a thing. Well done.

Good effort to make a game by yourself in 72 hours, and bold choice of topic, though I don't think this one exactly turned out. Definitely good effort though, it's not easy doing these, especially solo.

Sorry, I'm not really sure how to play the game -- seems like I was waiting for a long time after Israel triumphed twice? But seems like an interesting premise!

Interesting idea, especially for whom who love strategies . It is good work for only one person in 72 hours!

Interesting concept and choice. Got some bugs. Clicking the map icon multiple times spawns in more flags and seems to break things

I wanna give you credit for the effort, but it's just too glitchy. I tried like 4 times to play it and after just 1 or two choices it glitched out or stopped giving any prompts.

Innovative idea I guess, but otherwise a bit too rough. Sorry :/

Good effort on making a game solo in 3 days! Though, I don't think this one exactly hit the mark. Still, kudos for the effort; making games solo isn't easy! Apologies for any language errors!
