And in case you didn't know, rating other people's games makes the Ludum Dare algorithm bump your game up and show it to other people! If you don't rate anyone, you won't get rated much at all. Good luck to you guys!
We just published a quick update on the Itch version of the game, you should be able to achieve the ritual now. Thank you again for playing! :D

Also when I click Q to begin ritual, the apprentice freezes for a few seconds and nothing happens :/
But art looks cool!
Soul Food (another lD55 game) ended up with a very similar core game mechanic.
This one has much more to it, tho. A bit too complex for me, but I like the extra variety in the recipes and art.
Good stuff!
As for the gameplay, I find it confusingly hard. Customers are waiting a very little amount of time and to perform the ritual u need to remember the dance-combo...mb I have very weak brains, but I didn't manage to earn a coin within 3 replays.. I wished to have a tip for the moves appears when I placed the ingredients to the circle, so I don't need to open the book all the time.
I want to point out that regardless of that stuggle - you did an awesome job with color coding ingredients. That one was apreciated a lot by me :)
The summoning moves are funny but need to be even more clear.
I like that you added them to the itch page as a clear picture but in the game there is no time to alt tab and look at it.
But there're some issues and bugs I encountered though and I have too point them out here. The first being the controls at the main menu were wrong, the Q and E buttons was swapped with the A and D, which really bothers me cause I keep pressing the wrong ones during invocations.
Second, I think the difficulty of the game is a little bit too hard, the customers gave no hints of which type of demons they might want for their situations, and the time required to deliver is too short, by the time I finished memorizing the dance sequence the customer was already gone. I think you should make something like a thinking bubble shows which demon the customer wants, and lengthen the wait time a little bit, it'd give the player a moment to "breathe" and make the gameplay more enjoyable.
Third, sometimes I pressed Q to begin the invocation process before accepting the customer's request and then the player just stuck at the sigil for a brief moment. And after the game over screen showed up, I hit "Retry" and interacted with the book, suddenly the game backed to the main menu as soon as I quitted reading, which was kinda annoying because I needed to manually start a new game for the problem to go away.
But beside all those issues the game itself is actually pretty fun to play, it just need a little polishing and bugfixes. After all, consider the short time frame of a game jam, you guys did a great job on this one, congrats!
