ABOUT

Welcome to the Bureau of Inspection & Transylvanian Export, aka B.I.T.E!

In this world of vampires, you play as a package inspector at B.I.T.E, the underworld's most premium package delivery service, to make sure your customers are sent their packages correctly:

  • Use your vampiric vision to see through the package and make sure no contraband makes through!
  • Read the Instruction Manual to make sure all sendout requirements are met!
  • Drag documents and items back and forth between the inspection table and your desk to find all the invoice information!

Once ready for sendout, stamp the invoice with the correct stamp and put it back on the package to get to your next package!

But be careful, only packages that are correctly stamped with the appropriate Approval OR Denial Invoice will count toward your nightly quota. Make too many mi-STAKES and management might...terminate you.

Is there a way to unpublish the game if it isn't ready yet?

Really cool idea, and I can totally see this being amazing with a little more polish too it. I did have an issue where I couldn't get form to stamp correctly but I just restarted and it worked fine. Really like the graphics too, add some more complex sounds and I reckon you are onto a winner.

Papers-please inspired game. Unsure how to rate this since it was unfinished, but the concept is pretty cool and you seem capable of expanding upon this. The text was pretty small though and I would appreciate it if it wasn't a browser game. Would be much more immersive

An interesting thematic twist on Papers, Please.. A shame you didn't get around to complete it yet. The game screen on itch.io is pretty tiny and I saw no way to go full screen, making the small text unpleasant to read.

Very good interpretation of the theme, it take me a few moment to understand to drag and drop tue guide and take the tag on the package to valid it or not. I like the idea of the vampiric vision (and the content of the package maybe funny), and the rules specific to vampire community. The realisation is neat it lacks of sound and music for ambient but with it that will be very good. You can do make it a complete game without problem.

The games that are most similar to your own submission are always very interesting. Unfortunate that it's unfinished because it's very polished and nice looking.

It looks nice, but the gameplay is very poor. The developers clearly did not have enough time to fill the game. In all the boxes I had the same toy and all the tags had the same inscription:
"unfinished
unfortunately :(

see you in extra"

Although the game reacted to stamps in different ways.
The game also lacks background music, without which the soundtrack sounds very dry.

The creators clearly had an idea to create an analogue of "Papers, Please", but they did not have enough time. The vampire vision idea is very interesting. I wish the developers good luck.

The overall art style of the game is very interesting, but it appears a bit messy and unfinished. The game as a whole looks underdeveloped.

Hey everyone, thank you all for the kind feedback, we were able to finish the game how we wanted it to be after the jam, you can try our "finished" game from the Itch.io link :)

Had a lot of fun playing through the post-jam version -- the LD-jam one was having a hard time loading. Love the vampiric contraband theme, and the x-ray vision is such a great mechanic for making an simple task that is still rewarding/intriguing for the player. Not sure if I was just an unlucky package inspector, but very few packages actually had contraband in them. However, when I did finally find some sneaky stakes, stamping "deny" was super satisfying.

Great job overall! We also did a papers-please-like game so it’s really cool to see other team’s take on the genre and some pretty creative solutions to the problems we were running into :)

Seems like the start to a fun game! I also went and played the post-jam version. I like the concept, but I wish there was some sort of progression system (in the post-jam version) to break up the monotony and offer sort sort of reward.
