Deliver or Die by LDJam user 314045
About
Deliver or Die is an action-packed game that puts players in the shoes of a brave delivery person in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world. Your goal is to navigate through hazardous environments and battle enemies to deliver packages to target locations (gray circles) while constantly upgrading your skills to keep up with the increasing difficulty.
The game features a simple yet challenging gameplay mechanic where you must deliver packages on time, with the direction towards the next target location symbolized by a yellow arrow. With each successful delivery, you can upgrade one of your skills, including damage, move speed, reload time, shooting speed, max health, or you could just heal yourself.
As you progress through the game, the difficulty increases rapidly, making it challenging to survive against an increasing number of zombies and other hazards. So, be careful and use your skills wisely to stay alive as long as possible.
The game's controls are simple and easy to master, with the WASD keys used for movement, R for reloading, and LMB for shooting.

Lack of variety was the only downside, and your not finished features list seems to agree with this.
Made it to 14:37, 483 kills w/ 21 delivers. Got too cocky with the speed upgrades and trapped myself in a group of enemies. Had good fun with this

It's a pity that there is no web solution for the engine, or I don't know it yet.
About the game itself:
Nice sprites and simple gameplay suitable for a mini game.
Unfortunately, the pace feels a bit slow. Getting from package to package seems to take a long time, especially at the start without movement upgrades. It also takes a while before the enemies ramp up enough to be an actual threat.
I'm sure if you complete the rest of the ideas and add some storyline, the game will become popular very soon!
I really like top-down shooters and upgrades, so it was nice ride. =)
Project is promising, I hope you don't abondon game and finish listed features, and may be some plot/npc/bosses/locations.
Good job!
Movement speed OP. Haha!
I abused the movement speed upgrade and it became my demise, I was tooo fast in in the end. Pressing a movement button was almost guaranteed to send me walking into a zombie xD
Very simple idea but it was still fun to see how far you can make it!
Keeping a score during the gameplay or a score that shows how good my run is, would have rounded up things a bit more! But fun is fun, so well done! :)
I also really liked the upgrade system. The graphics and effects were nice. It got very monotonous at some point, but since it's a jam game, it's okay.
Well done.
Now I'm a bit of a simp for zombie-themed games, but I thought the atmosphere was done really well. Great work on that! If you'd gotten around to the weather and footsteps I'm sure it would've made an even better impression.
My only bit of advice I'd like to give is that using Comic Sans as your font is- well... It's a bit too much of a meme. There's lots of REALLY nice, licence-free fonts you can grab for yourself online (from DaFont or a similar site). Give them a go!
Keep up the great work!!
