Very good work, the old school graphic quality is really excellent.
The 2 player mode is perfect for this type of game.
Looking forward to esports competitions :D

This seems very fun to play with friends, since I didn't had anyone to play with me I ended up playing just myself, it was actually fun, seeing alice throwing tarzan so high up that it would take 5 seconds for him to fall down. The music is very good.

This was very fun and definitely worth grabbing my controllers from under the dust ! Insanely good music. This is one of those games that can be the seed to something bigger :)

@mrsamafu Thank you for playing and the kind words! It was our first time trying digitized sprites, but I think they turned out good and have that old school look we were going for.

@neeko69 Thank you for playing! Sorry we wanted to add a simple CPU opponent for single player, but ran out of time. I'm not sure what's going on with Tarzan getting hit so high up lol. It happened to me before too, so we're going to look into it, but it is pretty hilarious when it happens.

@javasaurus Thank you for playing! I'm glad you were able to play it with a controller. We have keyboard controls in there, but I think it's much more fun and easier to play with a controller. It was fun to work on, so we might keep expanding it a little more and add more moves, characters, levels, etc.

Hey, just played 'Legends of Lore' and it's a blast! The shrinking level mechanic kept things intense and made each fight feel crucial. Love the homage to old-school graphics and the 2-player dynamic is a solid choice. The soundtrack is a killer touch. This game would shine even brighter with a CPU opponent for solo play. Awesome effort!

Love the retro graphics! Also really impressive to make a fighting game for a Game Jam, definitely better with a controller tho

yo Tarzan needs a nerf so soon, Alice mains gotta eat!

this is a lot of fun and a nice simple use of the theme. lots of laughs were had with friends and that's what counts. also funny from moment one simply because of the art.

@pabloabraham Thank you for playing! We're glad you enjoyed it. I wish we had more time and I would have made an attempt to program a CPU opponent. It would probably be a big challenge, but maybe I'll give it a go when I have some time.

Super charming art, and loved the gamepad support, although less awkward keyboard bindings would've been welcome too. Great work!

I loved the art, and the music was on point too. I loved how you brough a more "Smash brothers" mnechanic (the dissapearing stage - which btw great theme usage) into a more 2d scroller type of game. The graphics reminded me of Brutal: Paws of Fury.

Love the Background. Good job on everything. Good use of the theme with the edges falling away.

Pretty ambitious to make a fighting game for a game jam! Would have been nice to be able to select characters instead of just P1 is always Tarzan and P2 is always Alice, but again--game jam. I really love the KO animation

Works well, fits theme good. The animations were much smoother than I was expecting, very nice job on that and good play cycle.

@haotian-chen Thank you for playing. Yeah, I think the keyboard controls need work too. We were trying to think of ways to implement a two player fighting game on one keyboard, but it was challenging to get anything that felt good. Hopefully you got to try it with a controller, it's much better that way.

@montym Thank you for playing! Yes, a fighting game was a challenge in this time frame, but we thought it might be cool to do something with old school digitized sprites so we went for it.

Game is fun and well made, despite it has only two characters. Fighting (classic fighting!) is not a trivial task. So you made a noticeable effort on this. But.. installing a 25 MBytes jam game, seriously? :D

This game is ripe for expansion into a full-fledged fighting game, with the ring-out mechanic a la Soul Calibur.

@alextengu Thank you for playing! Fighting game development was much more challenging than I thought it would be at first, but we've learned a lot. Also its too late for you, but we added a zipped exe instead of just the installer version for the update.
