Twist your line of crystals into matching sets, and go for the high score!

Getting two or more matches in a row will blast away all crystals of that color, so watch out for big combo opportunities.

Controls are just the arrow keys (or WASD, gamepad should work as well)

Made as a solo project, my first jam using Godot. Had a lot of fun doing it!

Really polished! I like how juicy it all feels, and having the controls and rules on the side is a nice touch. I was disappointed to find the game does not reward my preferred playstyle of walking around randomly and hoping for a match. After a few minutes of playing I started to develop a little more intuition on how to plan matches ahead of time. Sadly I never managed a double match on purpose, but I definitely had fun! One thing I would have liked to have is the ability to move multiple squares with a single long-press of an arrow key. I also had trouble visualizing how a move would change the board state as the tail got longer, but that might just be a skill issue haha

Nice game, music and visual are net, maybe it lacks a bit of challenge or new features to add variety in the gameplay.

Definitely an awesome entry here, and quite a unique and innovative idea too! I could see myself sticking in a lot of hours into this trying to nab a high score. Really nice job!

Great game! I like the mix of different idears to create a new game, with a different twist. It fits really well with the given theme. I need to play some more to lern what the best strategy is to get the most points, more combos or bigger squars.
The sounds are fitting but a bit lacking, same with the music. As i wa playing more i came up with a lot of small things that could be tweeked/changed, overall a great fun game :)

Very nice visuals. Personally I would've liked some sort of method to make building bigger combos easier, but that doesn't mean that the game isn't already fun as is.

Score 1882 !

This is totally the sort of game I like : puzzles, logic, a 2D grid. It's not a Match-3, it's a "Match 2²" and I love the mechanics and the concept !

I thought first that the combo would work only if I matched the same color twice, but it works with any colors.

About balancing: maybe destroying all the elements of one type when doing a combo is a little overkill. I used this special power a lot, and did not feel the game was becoming more and more difficult. I even thought I could continue like that forever (I was wrong, I filled all the game area).

This game concept needs more depths: special objects, special powers, quests, scenario mode, etc.

Oh, just one little bug: when I bump into a border, it still triggers the crystal generation. For example, I pushed left arrow as I was completely on the left, I did not move, but a crystal appeared.

Best LD54 game I've played so far. Thank you !

Really fun little game! I can easily get glued to my screen and spend hours on it

After playing it 'fairly' I tried to cheat (or maybe it is a genious idea who knows) and create a long snake to drag with me as I had less and less space to wiggle and try to pop crystals while i dragged the whole map with me lol

It kind of worked but I couldn't make more than 250 in the small time frame I played the game. Well done!

Really great concept, very intuitive. easy to try, hard to master.
At some point I stop thinking and just try to run down (didn't work..)
Great concept, really vell done
maybe add bomb or other things (bonus that you can keep for a specific moment) in order to make it a bit easier.

Very unique idea, feels like the kind of game you'd say "I'm only gonna play for one more hour" then end up spending the next five obsessive playing. If you wanted to take this further I think special items or uniquely shaped gameplay screesn would be really cool!

This game is amazing! I really like how the gameplay ties into the theme of limited space. I love the game mechanics. It's so simple but provides for so much player agency to solve the increasingly complex spatial puzzle. There so much room for skill that you want to play more. It's a great design!

This game is so cool! You know you've done good when people are saying that they played the game more than once, and I definitely played it like 5 times trying to get a higher score. Really inventive mechanic, loved the music, good stuff!

Cool little match game! The mechanics were a bit more involved than I expected, pretty neat!

For longlevity, perhaps some 'screen clearer' mechanics would have been interesting?

Regardless, nice job!

Innovative twist on the classic match-3 concept, perfectly in line with the theme. The game's emphasis on creating combos to clear gems within the limited play space is simple but not as easy to master. The music and overall design add to the enjoyable experience. I see myself playing it lot on mobile. Well done! Easily one of my top-rated games overall.

Pretty fun game, had trouble thinking up what combos to make on the spot. Enjoyed how the difficulty ramped up when more pieces were on the board
