that's probably enough autoball for one night

![chrome_2022-10-03_02-57-53.png](///raw/7e6/7/z/50221.png)

edit: oh yeah, since i honestly think it's super fun to do a long run like this... try building a row of normal dots along the bottom and build up, and also make a third of them purple for optimal points! it might take a few attempts to get it rolling!

This game brings such satisfying moments, and frustrating ones! When you clear the whole board it's so nice, and sometimes the game messes with you by making the ball just go clean through. The sound effects gives it a very solid feeling.

Once you get into it's hard to stop.

It's really well designed and polished. And it fits the theme well, nice work!

I got quite far, but then one of the balls got stuck in the bottom left:

This is really addictive. I couldn't get pass round 30 and I have no idea how the above 2 is getting such high score. I think I tried at least 10 times. I think my starting placement is really bad. My best score is 27 and that's my first game.

Thanks for the game. !

Reverse peggle, I like it! I kind of wished that you could control the arc a bit, but it might defeat the purpose of the game.

Gosh, what a lovely game! What I love most is how simple and easy the interface is to use. It doesn't need a tutorial or even descriptive language to immediately jump into the game and start having fun. My best is about round 30. I'm mega impressed by the other commenters here getting huge scores, I guess I need more practice! Good thing it is super addictive in fun. Admittedly I am playing it during a Zoom meeting...

brilliant work! I love that there's a cost to just firing the next ball, so you always have to work to stay ahead of that recurring fee. I'd be curious to see a version of this where that cost increases over time to drive up pressure a little earlier. I worry that the balance of the game right now hews a little too far on the easy side

Super attractive presentation right off the bat. You have no idea wtf is going on in the first few rounds, and slowly you figure it out. Only after like 20 rounds did I realize a better strategy of using cannons to set up well-known paths. Feels really deep despite having so few items, and a random shot every time. I didn't really understand how to aim the cannons though, is it just a random direction?

This is just nearly perfect. The art style, sounds, color palette, everything fits together in a cohesive way. No design choice feels random and every time I noticed some detail I immediately knew why it was added or not done differently.
Definitely the best game I have played today!

A really addictive and fun game, good job. The gameplay is nice and fun, the sounds are really suiting and the graphics look pleasing to the eye. It took me a few minutes to understand what was going on, but once I did it was pretty cool.

Kinda wish there was a way to skip to the next ball immediately, as there was some waiting around from time to time.

This is so simple, yet so addictive. My only complaint - though this might just be a skill issue - is that I found it really hard to gauge where the ball was going to travel, and how it was going to bounce, which made it very difficult to actually do anything. The vast, vast majority of my points came from rounds where the ball was already aimed in such a way that it would land in the bonus area, and all I had to do was let it fall unobstructed, and that just felt really unsatisfying.

04. Oct 2022 · 22:21 UTC
I did it, I reached the point where the cost labels bleed out of the UI :). It's a really fun game, very polished and satisfying. One issue for me is that you can reach a point where you will never lose: the cost and penalty don't increase as fast as the exponential reward growth. I'm seeing some people reaching a game over far later in the game, maybe it would be interesting to balance difficulty so this point happens sooner.

As for suggestions... the placement in a dense field is a little tricky. It seems sometimes even though my mouse was on the right place before the timer hit, clicking next time didnt work and I had to jiggle the mouse a little?

Wow. Absolutely incredible entry. Seems like you've done a ton of amazing work, so this isn't surprising... But still, an absolute joy of a game. An amazing game! Had a blast playing! And as Doc Ock would put it: "It can't be stopped. It's self-sustaining now." The only downside I ran into was that as the run goes on, there is not really much else to do than to reorganize the board, but the timespan to do it can be around 1 second between rounds  ![Screenshot 2022-10-06 at 8.34.43.png](///raw/da0/92/z/52799.png)

This game really has no business being as good as it is! The concept is so simple yet fun and for the presentation the same thing holds. I really like the determinism of the physics so you can build large ping-pong contraptions with the help of just one cannon.

Surprisingly addictive once I figured out how to not immediately lose. The other commenters had the right idea with lining the floor with pegs. After that I stopped failing and started having a lot of fun.

Very nicely done, solid audio design and great game design. Simple graphics but well polished, no confusing elements as far as I could see. I'm sure that the best strategy is figured out easily which is a little sad, but maybe different levels with different upgrades/ball shoot positions could be a solution? Either way, amazing job on this addictive little game!

Great game! The take on the theme is very unique, the graphics, audio and controls fit together very strongly and are super polished, and the gameplay is very compelling. This is SO ADDICTING. Struggled a bit at first to figure out a strategy, but once you get enough things on the board it gets really fun. The magnet seemed cool at first but actually turned out to be somewhat useless. The fact that your time to place things is limited by how long the previous ball stays felt a little strange, but I guess it works just fine for balance and sense of danger. So much polish on everything! Sound was really good and I think a great part of what makes this game so satisfying. Overall this is a glorious entry for compo, well done!

Really solid entry! *Really hard to put down entry!* It took me a few rounds to fully understand how to play the game correctly, but after that, it was super duper fun and has taken my attention for about 20 minutes. What a lovely game that quickly becomes addictive. It's fun placing the pieces and somewhat cathartic building up the board as you go. It's nice to gamify it with the increasing cost each round and a good use of the theme. I could easily see myself playing a version of this that had levels with different goals and mechanics / limitations to encourage you to progress through them. A fantastic entry!

A very fun and addictive game.
It's very impressive that such a complete game was made with very limited elements.

Wow great job! I love the simple and minimalistic vibe, definitely very addicting! Really great job coming up with something so fun and unique! I wish we could get the ball to fire early if you are ready, but hey the theme is every 10s haha Great job!

Nothing more to add other than keep working on this and publish as a mobile game, this super polished and a refreshing mechanic to casual game with.

The concept is amazing. The game has so much potential, you can easily make it a mobile game if you want to. The game is so polished, it has a great art style and simple sound effects and everything fits together.

Five stars across the board!

I'm astonished at the level of polish in the game. Everything from the way the text bounces when it changes to the ball hit sounds rising in pitch makes it seem like a game that took months to make instead of 48 hours, which is probably why I've spent the last hour playing it.

You've hit gold with this concept, and all it needs now is some variation, like multiple levels with stage hazards, like solid terrain or places where you can't put any items (pegs and cannons), and maybe a few more items introduced throughout the levels. Add a target amount of money to complete each level, and that's all it needs to slap a price tag on it and call it a real game. I for one would love to see it.

This was lots of fun! I enjoyed trying to make longer and longer chains of bounces, and it was cool how the balls started coming before the previous ones had finished. The audio and graphics are minimalist, but really well polished. Awesome entry!

Game over, try again?

That was cool 😎

The app is amazing, of course is much better than the game we’ve built, so we definitely will take example from you in the future.

Good job, all respect! 💪🤗

Very fun and satisfying to play. Felt very polished. I probably put way too much time into it. My main suggestion would be to somehow make it easier to make adjustments later in the game. For example, when balls are in play, display a transparent piece on the cursor or provide some way to line up your next move before you have control. I would often get frustrated trying to make minor adjustments with only having a few moments of control to make my next move.![Screen Shot 2022-10-20 at 11.59.48 AM.png](///raw/75/z/53516.png)

I'm discovering it only now, this is incredibely fun! I love the concept and the aesthetic. What impress me the most is how balance it is: it feels really challenging, but never too punitive.
