Welcome to Star Trotters! You have stolen an artifact from the galactic dominion and they want it back!

Luckily, this artifact magically upgrades your ship every ten seconds! Unluckily, this artifact is manual and you have to time it well to get an upgrade

How long will you survive?

It turned out to be a very dynamic game, I almost broke my fingers)

Space invader is a classic game and so is your work - the same enjoyment and the same fun. Great job!

I didn't realize that the upgrades didn't happen automatically so it took me a bit to get used to. Once I figured out that mechanic, though, the game was pretty fun. I wish that there was some more visual indication or feedback when you got closer to 10 seconds on each upgrade. I also think that the game would've looked better if the background was plain or if it was more pixelated to match everything else. My highest score was 80 seconds!

Survived 84.6 seconds!

That was hard, but fun. Having to press the upgrade button at just the right moment is an interesting mechanic, but the game said my clock was broken and I'd have to 'guess' when to press it...but the clock seemed to be working just fine!

Overall very fun! Was initially hoping that the "closer to 10 seconds = better upgrade" meant different upgrades based on how close you were, rather than just scaling the upgrade you got. There were a couple points where getting the movement speed upgrade just felt like a downgrade due to not being able to as tightly control my movement, but still got it to 220 seconds when I was an unstoppable bullet hose that had a wall of bullets on screen at any given time before I decided to let an enemy end me. Made me wish it was longer or had a bigger variety of upgrades, which means if you wanted to keep working on this concept you might have something, but I understand the limitations of the 72 hours didn't really give much wiggle room for that!

Had a lot of fun with it. Nice to see another "Space Invader"-inspired game :v:

Fun idea of having to balance the space invaders style gameplay with timing your upgrades! Really I think the only changes I would suggest is better communicating when things are happening, such as the player/enemies reacting to taking damage. Also the music was a banger, haha.

I really like the way this game engages with the theme. Instead of something just *happening* every 10 seconds, or even the playing having to complete something every 10 seconds, every 10 seconds is a challenge. I was initially worried about just showing the timer so prominently in the bottom right, but it was almost impossible to focus on! Very cool take on space invaders.

It got pretty hard pretty fast :D Good concept and music. I couldn't keep up with the enemies so they gunned me down, well done!
