Ring King 51 by bramreth

The future of televised wrestling is in PERIL!

duke.png

Ring King Entertainment network is going under and perilously close to BANKRUPCY! In a last-ditch effort to attract the viewership necessary to continue, their 4 best wrestlers are fighting in an all-new challenge where the rules change EVERY 10 SECONDS. Some of which are certainly OSHA violations.

You and up to 3 other local players face off in the ring to see who comes out on top. Either play against the AI or grab some friends and controllers and duke it out!

Can you put on a show packed with enough mayhem to save the network? See you in the ring!

Just barely won XD. That was super chaotic and I loved it. Bonus points for having a multiplayer entry in the jam.

Also super relieved I was able to skip the intro on subsequent plays (don't worry I loved the intro too!)

I'm lucky to have a friend by my side to play with. A lot of fun, using the theme as a catalyst for house in a party game is just great. Also the visuals and audio is simple but very powerfull.
Tl;Dr - Really enjoyed it, looking for two more friends to play it with a full party.

Really cool game. Love the art-style and the way its presented. Feels really unique. You've all done an absolutely great job at making this game. Fits well with the theme. Loved it.

The presentation of the game is great! That little cinematic at the beginning of the match, combined with the audio, really gives the feeling of watching a wrestling match. I found the controls a bit hard to learn, but after I perceived the little arrow giving the attack direction, it worked fine.

This game is absolute fun vs other players! The intro and voice-over is amazing. Love how the challenges changes throughout the match. Controls feel a bit floaty, but I guess, that's intended and add to the chaos. Well done!

It was at least fun, albeit clumsily done, given that there was not enough feedback from the impact. And it was also difficult to understand where you are now in the arena (although I understand that if you play four, then all the other marks about where someone is will only get worse, so it's not bad now either).

Very fun game. Easy to get into the game and enjoy it. It's also a good job that you even add multiplayer and gamepad support in a such short time.

Really fun game, It took me some time getting used to the controls but after that, I knocked out my enemies left and right :D would have been nice to have an end of round scoreboard though

Great game to have fun with friends! It reminds me of Crash Bash, which I love  The graphics and sounds create a very cool atmosphere. I think the rules on the left-hand side of the screen are difficult to pay attention to, but this is not a problem when the changing rule adds a new element to the ring.

Very cool game, good job!

@mtabasco I can't deny Crash Bash was definitely an influence, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Bit annoyed that you can only use the keyboard if you play singleplayer; I couldn't figure out any way to switch to gamepad controls. I'll admit that with the camera perspective and lack of dedicated cursor, aiming is a bit counterintuitive. Conceptually, I love it, and I love the presentation, and the chaotic gameplay is a riot, but there's some clumsiness in the controls that's holding it back.

And again, I don't like the fact that you can't use a gamepad if you want to play singleplayer, unless you're okay playing against two AI and a braindead default keyboard player.

This game is **pretty great**. Love the atmosphere. Announcers did a fantastic job. Initially I found myself struggling to aim with the mouse, but eventually got sorta decent at it.

This is easily one of the best LD games I've ever played. From that intro "cinematic" to the voice acting to the utter chaos on the screen I absolutely loved it well done!
