Short game but entertaining on the first play, but after that its it. I wouldve enjoyed to have more levels.

Nice job! Simple but works and has some difficulty to it. Easy to understand. More levels would have been great. Also what are the orange discs in the some areas? Thought maybe they were bug traps but they didn't seem to do anything, just aesthetics?

@simplepotential , thank you for your feedback. They are kinda shelters :D If you go there - the guy won't be able to catch you.

"You lost ! Congratulations!" X) Interesting use of the theme, the dark phase is a bit tough to move through since you can't see the human and since you go fast you can run into it without enough time to react. Nice game ^^

This game is awesome! A simple but wonderful idea excecated very well. Fits perfectly with the theme, and was shockingly engaging.
The 'visibility' effect in the dark was done beautifully (as someone who has had to implement one in the past).
If you are able to make more levels, let us know - I would love to play more (I agree some easier ones might be good too as an introduction)

As someone who likes insects, this is awesome! Kinda reminds me of Pac-Man, but with cockroaches instead of whatever Pac-Man is supposed to be. The effect is very cool when the lights go out, since then you can rule the night instead of having to hide. Well done!!

I'm a simple person. I see cockroach, then I want to play ;) The game is very cute, and I quite like in the darkness, it's kind of scary the life of a cockroach! You just need to add some good sound design and we gonna really believe in this cockroach life !

Liked your game. Very innovative. I found the guy to be a little too smart on second level and made it very difficult. If there was sound/music I didn't hear anything on my machine. I think audio would have improved the atmosphere of the game tremendously.

Pretty cool! However it is pretty annoying that every level starts with the lights on.

cute little game.. beating it depends on remembering room while lights are on.. and I guess randomness of people running around

I like the unique concept here! It can get pretty tense trying to avoid the humans- the unpredictability of their AI is a strength in my opinion. The slow movement to start every level was a bit annoying, but I understand that the light allows you to scope out the level in advance. It'd be cool to see more mechanics added as well. Shoutout to the "you lost, congratulations!" message, it's great lol. Nice work!

I liked the idea of the game and the fast movement when the light is off is very satisfying. The risk/reward of going super fast work well because we can die fast.

Cool little game. I liked the simple artwork but maybe the cockroach could be a bit bigger or more visible. I think it might need some balancing also. When the lights turned off it was really easy to get to the cheese if you remembered the route. I think I got caught just once with the light out. Nice entry anyways.

Poor guy. Not only the cockroach crawling around his house, but there are also his neighbors who turn off the lights every 10 seconds.

About the game itself I liked the cockroach animation and controls felt quite satisfying. The thing that made me upset is that even when I was hiding guy was still capable of finding me.

@brovovar it's a bug i'm working now :D the guys pick randomly where they want to go and sometimes they choose to check out your shelters.
thank you for your feedback :D

This was a really solid game idea! It felt like something I would find on Windows back in the 2000s. The only feedback I'd add is that the enemies (people) could move through hiding places, and even squash me while I was hiding! That didn't feel fair ;)

A simple concept done well! I like that the difficulty increases with both a more complicated floor plan for you to memorize as well as more guys who can potentially get you. Well done!

it's godot engine - i'm impressed how it was easy to use (because it's my first experience in it)

Hi - told ya I'll be back to check out your game :D Really cool one, took me a few tries to win, I also like the concept of memorizing the room and navigating through it when it gets dark. Really good execution and congrats of developing such complex mechanics for a first godot game!

Well done, you have an interesting game concept there that fits the theme. The guys can still get you when you're in a hiding place, which means you need some luck to win.
