Unfortunately due to the sheer number of subjects lined up today, you will only have 10 seconds to accept or decline each penguin's request.

Each request will affect our Glorious Empire's resources: Food, Support, and Security.

If you are able to grow one of our resources to 10, your success will allow our Empire to enter a Golden Era!002.png

I understand our subjects do speak in… interesting ways. But if you fail to make a decision in 10 seconds, we will be forced to automatically decline their request.

good design and art, even though it's only one static image.
the 10 second mechanic is not really relevant, as it more "lasts ten seconds" more than "EVERY ten seconds".

Great usage of the theme, really nice graphics, funny comedic vibe. Actually fun to play and trying to understand what the penguins want :D Great job!

Really loved the artwork you produced - so much personality/expression in all of the penguins. Like Eager, I thought the text speed might be a tad fast. Overall though, great work!

Great art for the penguins, and a neat mashup with Roman themes. Simple but effective gameplay. One note is that the text line-breaks can get a little wonky at times. Otherwise great job team.

Pretty easy, but I liked the setting. Goofy. Had to say no to going to a penguin birthday party to win my first round and the guilt is still with me.

Loved the presentation and design in the game. While I like the rush to respond to requests, it would have been nice to have enough time to read and think about what each penguin is actually saying as well.

Really enjoyed player this game. The art is great and the dialog made me smile a lot. The fact that they are all Pinguïns and you can hear their little feet waddle when they walk up to the emperor is also a nice touch.

Amazing entry!

I didn't say it before, but I feel like I should. As a graduate student in Classics, this little penguin game is one of the better fictional depictions I've seen of how imperial politics often worked out. A lot of people couldn't write, so they brought their grievances up in public forums like this. I think that's why I love it so much. Bravo. One suggestion for later patches would be to offer more solutions to a given penguin's underlying problem.

Wow, great art style! It's really a fun game, however time pressure on this kind of game is quite annoying, I wasn't able to get familiar with the interface and other stuff and I already had to make a decision, so had to skip a some of them. In my opinion the texts should be shorter if you would want to have a comfortable experience.

Great art, great sound, interesting to try and guess what the stats would change at first but before winning it became pretty repetitive. Seemed kind of hard to lose, upping the difficulty but shortening the round length would go a long way imo

Great art, sound design, and writing! Sometimes I found the text a bit hard to read in time, but it adds a layer of difficulty to the game, so I don't know if it's really an issue. Great work!

As a fellow penguin, this game caught my attention immediately! A funny and humorous take on this jam's theme. The artwork is amazing and fits the idea and setting of the game. 10 seconds are not much too make such a difficult choice. Anyways, I think the only downside is the amount of available requests. Hence I already got some repitions. I will definetly recommend this to other penguins (and friends). :D

I am not good enough in english to really judge what the penguins say, and it's a bit too hard. But I had a pretty good "score", I think the tone of the requests is enough obvious. Good point that was not too hard (Or I had LUCK. It's possible).

I think the use of the theme is a bit too simple (It's a time limit), but the theme is difficult to play with.

However, it's really beautiful and it was a pleasure from the first second for that.

Charming art style and a good sense of humour. Even if its just a still image it looks so pleasing and the tiny waddling animation and speach sounds are great! Good job even though it was pretty easy to win.

I love your art so much ! What style ! We also had the same kind of main gameplay idea for this ludum dare 51 : making a decision in just 10 seconds, it's really hard especially when your are an undecided person under pressure.
