Footsypool by Antti Haavikko

Footsypool, like the name might suggest is a very much non-realistic arcade style football (or soccer) game that also takes some slight inspiration from billiards too. You need to keep shooting goals on an increasingly crowded field making crazy pool-style trickshots bouncing off everywhere to score big. But you gotta be careful, you can't let your opponent touch the ball at all. You're only allowed a single spare mistake and the big scores will not be gained without taking risks. Claim your spot on the online leaderboard!

This game reminded me Ball x Pit — well, aside from the other obvious game, billiards xD
Anyway, it was fun to play. In general, it's hard to even imagine that a game like this could be made in such a short amount of time. Add a few variations, some meta-progression, and the game would be ready for mobile — I can see people playing stuff like this. All in all, good work!

Do you need to do set something special setting to get on the leaderboard? I made it pretty high, according to the current board, I'd have a shared second place, unless that's supposed to be me, but that's the Romanian(?) flag instead of the German one, so I dunno. Well I can still post it here, just look at this field, I could have gotten another shot maybe if I hadn't been stupid that round, but three million more for first place were very much out of reach:

Super fun game! It's very addicting to see the combo number go up and up and up. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the quick gameplay loop really makes you want to jump back in and try again. Very well-designed and polished! Music and art is top-notch as well, I especially love the cute players and their little customizations. Great game, very well done!

@captaindreamcast Ye that's probably you, score seems to match. The flag is based on geolocation, no idea why it would show up that wrong for you. Never heard it being off from anyone else where I've used the same system. And I guess you changed your name after you had failed (ie. already submitted the game). If you play again though and submit any score again, it will still use your most current name for the older scores too.

edit: Took a peek at what's going on there in the backend and it shows locale blank for that score. And in that case I guess it used the first flag on the sprite sheet, ie. Andorra. Maybe the next time I use this system on a game, I'll add some "unknown flag" sprite for if the locale can't be resolved.

That was super fun. Menage to reach 1M. I tried 4-4-2 but it's clearly outdated!

super cool game! Definitely gets more interesting once you have a few teammates on the field competing with opponents while still trying to manage bounce. Nice work!

Chapeau bas for such a polished game! I really like the idea for the core mechanics in the game - it makes the players to really use their brains ;) Also, the UI is beautiful and creates unified mood with the whole game. I also really liked how the game communicated with me - that's the most important aspect many devs forget about. Very good job!

This is VERY good! And Super polished! The gameplay was intuitive, and easy to grasp, and I had fun trying to strategically place characters to ricochet shots off walls for a maximum combo. Honestly not much I can say other than that it's a very solid entry, great work!

I like replayability of the game. It's fun, easy to grasp and there is still room for improvement so you try it play again and again. Level of polish is stellar as always. I'm not sure about the theme but making fun game is more important to me :)

Absolutely love this! Everything feels incredibly smooth, and the character animations have such a satisfying quality to them. The art is clean and cute, and the color palette is spot on. A perfect small but highly polished entry. Amazing
