I'm kind of mad about how long I played this for lol. Great game you've created here! Addicting and fun to play. Pretty well polished too for the time. The only issue I encountered was if you collect too many Gems and put them in the bottom of the ship, the collision starts causing an annoying sound. That's really about it though in terms of issues. I would love it if there were events that occurred every once in a while. Like something gets lodged in the drill bit and you have to get out and fix it. Or you enter a part of the Earth where that mineral is styled differently or is harder to dig through, so they consume more coal. Overall great job! You are my pick to win as of now.

Very polished, and the concept, visuals and audio just clicked! Good job getting all of those done in two days! I do think the gameplay is lacking a bit, after a while the game felt more or less reptitive. If you wish to keep working on this (please do), I would suggest maybe different events (mini-games) happening above the drill.

omg that game is so fun! I love it, there's never a dull moment in it, the controls are smooth and easy, the mining is very satisfying, and i just love how you can use one button to do everything, it's perfect!

The overall gameplay loop with drilling, drill maintenance, and monster defense is very good. I enjoyed your game, the graphics and music set a goofy atmosphere that keeps you from getting tired of the game, great job!

Really cool concept, polished gfx, as well as audio is perfectly sync with the drill, love it !

This is extremely well done for a compo! Nice graphics, very polished gameplay. Very enjoyable.

If I had to leave some feedback:
- I found a bit annoying having to leave the gems and coals on the floor, they just get in the way when you're trying to interact with other machines. Maybe a place to deposit them would've been great
- I got attacked by monsters way to often, it's kinda annoying when you're trying to reach a hard to get gem, and they start attacking your drill, specially if you went a little too far down.
- I'd haved loved for gems to have different values, so you'd have more reasons to go get it.

Anyways! I just loved this game, played for quite a while. We actually had a very similar idea, it's fun to see how different solutions make a game feel so different!

Nice compo entry! The maintenance + defense mix is very good. I enjoyed the physical aspects most, like how the gems are physical and the way that you jump - very charming.

This is a really well-polished loop! There's a lot to do, and thanks to the infinite jump, I was able to get up easily and take out enemies to keep my drill safe. That said, I’d love to see a bit more variety—maybe something happening alongside fixing machines and collecting coal and gems. It’d be great to have more opportunities to explore the outer lands with my drill as a companion. Overall, solid work—great job!

Closest I've given to a perfect score so far, really loved this one! Super polished, great engaging concept... I was supposed to play a ton of games but ended up on this one for like... 45 minutes? lol. I got to 50 gems and 1000.6m before I let myself lose. With enough gems, your bullets start to clip through the bats, which was a (likely unintentional) challenge :laughing: Really great job!

It's a small detail, and a bit silly that it stood out to me so much, but I absolutely loved the jump sound effect :smile: The graphics are also all lovely, the enemy bats I thought were particularly pleasant graphics wise! All fits together and runs really solidly as well, there's a great rhythm to juggling keeping the drill going and choosing when to venture out. I've got no idea how people are getting to 1000m, I was getting overwhelmed around 150m (although still having fun!)

Very fun, I love the infinite jumping :laughing: The gems were very annoying as they accumulated, I wished there was a way to stow them so I wouldn't keep picking them up when repairing stuff.
