I think it was your intent, after all. Loved the reference!
It is a very addictive game! You may need some small elements on the screen, like "score" and "level" maybe. But I really liked the way you took that old concept and adapted it to the theme, I thought it was amazing.
The sound of the strong wind also gives this game an incredible atmosphere. I think that if you put in some "sky changes", like a good hdri, it could add some weight to the game.
Great work!
Maybe if there were a timer of sorts to force me to pickup speed. This is a solid foundation to build on. Good job.
The game seems a bit random for me, there is no way to know where a mine is.
I liked the aesthetic and the concept of the game
thanks all for the feedback. if im going to continue development i think i want to keep it kind of meditative so might avoid timers and highscores, but i definitely agree some secondary mechanic or game loop is needed.
thanks for playing your comments were really nice! 😊
It sounds like minecraft when you mine under your feet ^^
I can understand not finding the time (or skill) to make background music, but I would not have used wind sounds instead. I thought that windsound was rather hostile, in the sense that it discourages from palying.
The graphics are honestly kinda shit.
All in all I would concider this a neat concept, but I would reserve much more timie for polish when you make your next game.
