Alone is a survival game where the card is generated box by box.
So you have to look for food in a bigger map. The goal is to keep his hunger gauge above zero.

Enjoy!

Great work! Easily one of the most polished games I've come across. Didn't seem like there was a win condition, unless I am missing something, but still, good game.

Great graphics, i love the style. Simple sound effects and really solid gameplay. I'm not sure if there's an end goal but I can see how the game could expand in future! Nice work

@stefanie-leitch @kazatan thanks ! there are no real goal you just have to chill and be carefull about your food bar in bottom left.

Had a lot of fun just exporing and crafting stuff :D Is there any global goal?

Impressive, but there is little gameplay, and it could use some kind of tutorial.

i would add game over and maybe a little tutorial next day to help player without change gameplay system. @creamsicle i'm agree i don't have time to add all i want... Survival games are long enough to do.

I really enjoyed this one! The slowly-expanding world works pretty well, and I feel like it'd be a great base to expand on later.

Cool pixel graphics, the game mechanics work well. The world slowly grows bigger but there seems to be no real ending or goal. Keep up the good work!

Very playable prototype with consistent and polished graphics. Audio could use some work but like the others I can see myself enjoying this type of a game if it was made into a full release.

I love the art style! I feel that the sound effects for breaking the different objects could be different but thats just me. I enjoyed how simple and intuitive the controls were. I only wish that there was more things to do. Great work!

as you may have seen, i not really good in sound :/ i add a few to give feedback but i don't really take time to work on it. However different sound for differents element could really be good @danny88881 ;)

Nice entry! Graphics are super polished for a Compo game, and there's a whole lot of features. I like the feel of building the world as you go, but in a sort of random way that gradually expands farther and farther.

Audio is simple but gets the job done.

This was pretty great! (and also quite pretty)

I like the interpretation of the theme where the level actually grows around you. The mechanics were good and the gameplay seemed balanced although at the end I didn't have to struggle at all.

The was also maybe a bug that I just didn't die even though the heart meter was at minimum for a long time before I figured out how to build the cauldron.

Wow I loved this game! I love the feedback on mining stuff and gathering. Pretty straightforward but fun. The central mechanic of the map growing to make things more difficult is really fun (though made easier definitely by the ability to plant food).

Really impressed with the art style too.

The only thing I would consider adding (I know scope is limited in a jam of course!) is some sort of enemy/pest for crops. Right now it's easy to just grab food and plant it by the home base to stay alive indefinitely. Would be a good addition to shake things up!

Nice pixel art. Would have been nice to have a win-condition, even if it was just a craftable trophy for 20 resources.
I couldn't tell what was the effect of crafting tools.
I was initially confused about how to craft because I didnt realize that I had resources in an invisible inventory.

Great idea, I really liked the world emerging during the gameplay, it's how you explore any open world sandbox anyway, so it didn't feel limiting while being fresh. Amazing graphics, also!

I really enjoyed your game :) I was a bit disappointed there was nothing more to do after anvil+craft+cauldron, but still, it's a very solid LD entry you've got here. The self-building world could be more interesting if it happened with some kind of logic, like by crafting specific buildings by yourself (like a brazier or something). As it is now, it's very chaotic and doesn't lead to interesting situations or choices. But it's a very interesting idea that could lead to fresh new gameplay ideas. Good job :)

This is amazing--I'm used to procedural generated worlds, but this felt very unique in that you saw it slowly being created as you played, which was unique to me. I had to throw in the towel since I didn't know if there was an end goal or not, but I did play longer than was necessary if that says anything. I would love seeing something like this on a bigger scale.

This was a fun little game. Once I built everything I could I wasn't sure how to progress, but what I saw until there was really promising. I think the move speed while carrying items is a bit slow, but honestly it didn't hurt the gameplay much. Overall it's a really impressive game, especially considering the time constraints. Great job!

Nice work on the pixel-art, I'm glad to see more entries that are 'peaceful' type of survival.
- Nothing happened to player once its health is depleted nor its hunger meter is below its limit.
- There were moments where the player is constantly moving without control (perhaps some conflict within the layers of action between Movement, Hold/Drop, and Deployment of workstation/units.)
- I was hoping to see some event-based trigger or a finding once the character have established building
all the units and harvested a bunch of resources..

Suggestions:
- the range of cells for the player to deploy the seeds/saplings/etc..:
- highlight the cells for its range; It took a while to discover that you can plant within a range instead of player-proximity for its harvest/work actions..
- Introduce weather-system or variation of potentially different biomes or seasons..

Interested to see further expansion on this entry! :dizzy:
