The Monk and the Child by Mila1004

[raw]
made by Mila1004 for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

First Timer here (GameDev and Ludum Dare). This is literally my first (kind of) finished/playable game, so don't expect too much. But i learned many things and had fun in the last 48h Hours, that's the goal!

Enjoy it! Constructive Critic is highly wanted! Screenshot.png

Your itch.io link seems to be broken. Did you publish the game? Otherwise only you can see it.

Ping me when you fix it so I can try again :)

Hi @mila1004! It looks like your itch page might still be a draft. When you create a game on itch, it always starts as a draft. You must go in and set it to public so people can view the page. You can see the page because it’s in your account, but no one else can!

Thanks for checking again @mila1004, the link works now.
I think it's pretty good for a beginner. The art looks nice, I really like the monk's design and the ornaments next to the walls.
If you added some sound effects for attacking and an end goal, like surviving X enemies/waves, it could be a cool little game. Nice work!

Nice art and designs. Interesting little game. When I pushed the target out the way it became much easier :).

Congratulations on finishing a game in 48 hours.

Just a quick note, you might want to review some other people's games as it will help surface your game more and you might get some more reviews.

If you're really a first timer as a game dev and as making a ludum dare entry, that's quite impressive !

I feel like I won the game forever, I found out that I can push the kid, and now that he's away the enemies can't reach him haha

The graphics are nice, with everything you learnt you should go fast next time and have more time to add more gameplay.

Nice job !
