Gameplay

Chicken Shuffle is an action game set on a hill-top farm. You must plant seeds and harvest the crops on your farm, but beware of the chickens that also live on the farm.

The chickens will peck the seeds you planted and turn your growing crops to weeds! You must scare off the chickens so that you can properly attend to your farm.

Scoring is the aim, and there is information given below your farm of each score for a particular action.

Controls

Movement: WASD keys, Arrow keys, or D-Pad on GamePad.

Action: Z or N key, or Button A on GamePad.

The action button will plant seeds, harvest a crop, or clear a weed, providing that there isn't a chicken nearby. Otherwise the action button will scare away any nearby chickens.

Escape key can also be used to exit quickly back to the main menu.

A really good looking game that complies with the theme. It's seems to be encouraged to just spam the action key while walking around one plot which isn't challenging. Great game!

I really like the sound effects and art, its a bit loose with the theme and hacktrout is right in that you just spam the action key. Good effort.

Love the art and the sounds! hit the arcady feeling on the head! Was very easy though, could move around spamming action key :)

I quickly realized i could just mash the action key, but this turned out to be fun! It actually works pretty well this way, and made the game about chasing chickens but taking the best route to either plant or harvest. Its kind of chaotic but I really ended up enjoying it!

A bit Mashy, but it was actually a lot of fun to play around with. It had a pretty solid minigame feel. Good entry!

I like the arcade feel of the game and the art is really good! Thought it controlled nicely, although yes I did just spam the action button that wasn't a bad thing - just ended up chasing chickens around the map. I think best strategy for me seemed to be to stay in one half of the farm and try to stop the chickens getting over the fence at all.

All in all its a nice entry and good fun! Nice work, and nice minigame!

This is a nice little game. I love the atmosphere and the visual design is impressive. Gameplay is a bit simplistic and there does not seem to be much strategy to it, but there's room for improvement and it has potential. Keep up good work!

This has a nice look, and a good concept, but I wanted a little bit more of a challnge. Maybe multiple levels, or spreading out the areas where you need to plant. It was fun, but I'd like to see more development.

Fun, arcadey game with awesome graphics & music!
It was a bit unclear at the start as to what was what on the field, but you figure it out fast.

Good mood with this game. It's nice, sounds and art are good. The gameplay is a bit repetitive and we end up spamming action button but congrats for this game !

Nice game with great graphics :) Stupid chicken kept eating all my seeds XD

At some point I found myself running around planting seeds everywhere. Still was fun! :)

Great graphics and animations! The gameplay felt a bit spammy after a while since I couldn't really figure out a good strategy. I would have liked to see multiple levels which get progressively harder and give you a concrete goal. This would have helped to grasp the systems better and have more of a feeling of accomplishment. Still a really cool minigame!

I _loved_ music. Laughed out loud when it started playing on game load.
A little spammy as others have said but really rather fun to play and really well put together.

Perhaps a penalty for harvesting crops too early or just remove the action key; if an action is possible then it is triggered.
