Very nice small tactical game. Feeling like go, because you need take control upon ground.
But I was little upset when after my move in controversial situation like Enemy-My-Enemy-My my pawn died first.

Oops, I think I broke your game. It's opponents turn but it can't move to any space, and I can't do anything either

EDIT: Same thing happened when only my king was left and he had nowhere to move.

Really interesting strategy game! Are you going to continue development? Maybe make it 2-player?

When you make a move that traps both your moved piece and an opponent's piece, how does it prioritise which gets killed?

Wow! This was impressive. A simple game, but very well executed! Super hard though  Nice work with the instruction images too, adds to the polished feel!

thanks everyone!

@lamossus thanks for the bug report! looks like i incorrectly set up that endgame situation. ill patch it later today!

@fazz we may continue dev! i'm not sure yet. to your other point: a piece always checks if it dies every frame. since the piece was moved into a trap, it is active and checks for death first, killing it rather than the enemy in that scenario

Awesome submission, really cool game and the aesthetic is great. I think an easier intro level or two would go a long way.

Nice version of the Tablut board game, the art is great ! Were you inspired by Mount & Blade 2 ?

Excellent game, and I recognise exactly which board game this is based on, though I did notice you tweaked a few rules to make it harder for the king piece (normally in tafl games you have to surround the king on all sides, not just two to lose). Great visual design, and a nice soundtrack. Going to add this to my favourites list and play against the computer when I can't get anyone to play me irl.

Nice entry! I like the Art style and simplicity of the controls mirrored against the complexity of the strategy. I hate going first haha.

I spent two minutes not understanding anything, but when you see the mechanic, it is wonderful. Thanks, great job with this little game

I really like the concept and the art style is phenomenal. I would recommend a mode or option to play the game from a top-down perspective. The mood is excellent.

This is really fun! It's a little hard to click some characters. Once I realized I had to click the base of the character made sense, but clicking behind an NPC was hard

This is a really cool game! Took me a few turns to get it down just right but it was pretty smooth slaying otherwise. I love pretty much everything about the game; The music, art, and game play are all fantastic. Great job, keep up the amazing work!!

Great work. Only niggle the white outlines in low res pixel art, could you just make the background/floor tiles duller and the enemies a bit brighter?

Or just have the outlines when a player mouse overs and selects a pawn.
