To whom it may concern

We appreciate your cooperation to spend 30 days as temporary mayor for our beloved town of Cradyl.

The town currently houses 5 people, they begin in the house on the top left. Left click on buildings and the townsfolk to select them, and right click to move the townsfolk around. Right click on new houses to buy, then assign townsfolk to build them.

Setting people to work in the factory will generate money, which you can use to improve the town. Workers will gradually lose Approval in you.

You can have more people that houses, but people left outside a house at night will not be happy. Two people left alone in a house during the day produces a third, new person.

If your overall average Approval sinks too low, you will be deposed, so keep Approval high by sending people to the tavern.

We are a close knit town - all will Despair should one of us die of old age, or any other reason. Praying at the church eases our Despair. One who succumbs to their Despair will inflict more on others.

Cradyl is a very special town. Please keep it alive.

Good luck.

Made for Ludum Dare 46 - Keep It Alive. Developed by SlapDash Games.

Didn’t get the chance to playtest for balance - however definitely a challenging game.

Also it's difficult to pick up people one by one :) No bad intention here just asking you to keep it up because it has potential! (sorry for bad english)

Fun game! It's entertaining to try to keep everyone's spirits up, although I'm apparently bad at it as the city ends up getting destroyed pretty quickly. I wasn't aware of how the city gets destroyed at first, and was in awe when I saw the monster peer out of the whole - really cool!

I wish I could have been told though what the icons meant. I assumed the red hands displayed when selecting a person meant they had disapproval, and the green wants meant they were happy, but I'm not sure as I can't seem to make them green again. Also, the destruction sound went on infinitely even after I chose to "play again", and I had to close the game and come back to fix the issue.

Other than those small issues though, it was really fun! Good job!

(Also, loved what you did for the description! It really introduces the game in a good way. If you expanded the game, it might actually be cool for you to use that as an introduction at the start of the game, as letter displayed on the screen.)

There's a great "shrouded isle" feel with the mood and art style !

Sadly the crash mentioned above stopped me a few time around day 3 or 4 so i couldn't go very far, and the game get confused when you redirect people before they enter a building (count doesn't reset and some citizen don't listen)

Glitch notwithstanding it's the start of a cool game
