Thanks, I didn't need any sleep tonight. Good works as always. This genuinely creeped me out. Sorry to give the low score on humor. This is more terrifying than funny.

Fantastic game, really rad aesthetic, and on-point gameplay.
On my first playthrough, I ended up missing searchable objects beyond what the tutorial text told me, so I died to a monster confused in total darkness (I'd only lit the one candle and let the whatis text guide me). Once I started uncovering chocolate and other weapons though, it became a lot more fun trying to balance between searching, equipping, and shooting.

Awesome job!

Your artist needs to talk to a therapist. Other than that, definitely among the most well put together games I've seen yet.

the art style is amazing as always. the mood is perfect as well. I ended up dying a lot because I tried to get my matches back and then I could no longer find ammo.

I learned that in a zoombie infested house, never let go of your gun

The art was made by LumpyTouch so obviously I had to play. The audio is really great as well.

This is clearly a good game, but really need some polish as well. It was really frustrating at times when I just wanted to reload but the camera move so I wasn't on the ammo box anymore, and it happens many times and with almost all interactable objects. Maybe I should have played the web version on fullscreen ?

Other than that, it was fun and difficult ! I hope to see this game updated !

Art of this game is just amazing. Mechanics are simple and also fun. Shows how simple games can also provide an engaging experience.

Initially drawn in by the great artwork, so simple so effective, the game is really fun to play and i like how difficult it is to multi-task and make use of only 2x inventory slots, music really fits too, not sure how many nights there are because i died which i didn't mind (awesome game over screen). I will be playing this again!

Impressive art and souns! Obwiously not miss on theme. Its too hard to manage that all blood, doors, windows and guns, so it feels challengling. Strong 5 on mood

Really awesome work! Love the chunky look of the pixels. Really brought some retro vibes.
I only made it to night 2 though because I was too stressed XoX

This is a really nice piece, maybe too challenging I'd say. The theme is not so strong in this one I'd say :)

Gorgeous artwork! The gameplay is really good, constantly tense. The music is very good as well, has real horror film vibes to it.

At first it seemed to be one of those escape the room point and click games. But instead I got to shoot a bunch of monsters. That felt good. Really stressy though! Maybe there could be some short periods of calm, like 5 seconds of sunlight when you can take a breath. Very nice death explosions of the enemies

Can you win the game or will does it continue forever?

Nice entry! Survival fits the theme and also having only one item to hold makes the experience a lot harder. Really nice graphics and audio as well. Great job!

One of my favourite LD45 entry so far :)

It reminded me a lot of games like Prohibition on Atari ST, but with a great amount of strategy. I loved the "where the f** are my matches" moments! Simple and efficient mechanics, great art style and sound design. My only grief is the connection with the theme which is quite thin here imho.

Anyway, amazing job on this one!

Very atmospheric game! Like the mood and items managment. But I haven't required reactions to manage everything.
Visuals and sound is great! Thanks you for entry!

AMAZING!!! LumpyTouch art is always on point, but the rest of the team didn't fell back by a little. The idea of fending off monsters and bunkering in a house is something really appealing to me cuz it's always my favorite horror movie trope xD. My favorite game in this LD for sure. Having to keep the lights on and remembering where I've left everything was crazy fun! :D Thanks for the awesome game, congrats!

Love the sound effects! Goes well with the artstyle. I wasn't able to find any ammo after the beginning box across the couple plays I did, but maybe just me. Combat is fun and the lighting is well done too. A score at the end when you die would be cool.

Great arcade theme! The indication to tell player where zombies are coming in was super helpful! Ammo ran out a little and audio was a smidge load, but other than that I can imagine this being on an arcade machine, like Rampage and Street Fighter! Great job!

Amazing game!!!
Excellent gameplay. Searching the room for weapons, tools, etc. when also try to fend off the comming monsters was amazing experience!!! And very polished game too!!!
The retro pixelart graphics was great with fluid animations!! And with amazing sounds and music to complete the experience.
Just out of curiosity is there a end or you just try to survive as long as you can?
One last thing change the LD game to show that the game is also available in **WEB version**. I almost didn't try this gem because of that!!!

what shall i say about it? :dvd: :dvd: :dvd: :dvd: :dvd: ,found this initially by browsing through itch, and thought this would be a game someone put a lot of time in it, later i figured out it was made for ludum ...

I loved the little exploration aspect at the start where you had to find all your available resources.

The looping horizontal scrolling was great but I felt like the vertical scrolling didn't add anything to the game. It slightly added to the exploration at the start but often just got in the way when I was trying to fight off the enemies. So in a way it did add to the frenecity of the game, just not in a satisfying way.

Great art, I thought I recognised the artist and sure enough I had seen his garfield gameboy video.

Ugh, Creepy Headcrabs! Nice touch on the chocolate bar mechanic :smile_cat: Tactfully ration the bars for health.
It would be nice to move around candle, or have a random chance to torch the creature.
Feels-off at times 'repair' windows & doors. Great work on the pixel-art!
I don't know if its endless or there's a night-cycle to survive as long you as can till dawn.. (Apparently a text signalling another day approaches..)

The Knife didn't seem clear for its reach besides the sound-cue of its swinging action. Just add more animations (more pixel-art frame based animations instead of the tweened smooth scaling; e.g- clean up of the spillage; and progress bars [segmented or pixel-frame-based); (unless you have some shader to pixelate + dither?) .
One bug that triggered me [no pun intended] is the swap between the weapon (machine-gun) and toolbox, somehow whenever the weapon gets swap-positioned on the fireplace you could no longer pickup the weapon. Despite some minor rough-edges, pretty solid entry! :dizzy:

Wow this was really impressive, getting some House of the Dead vibes, obviously, but there was so much to the gameplay here I was blown away, with things like multiple weapons, keeping candles lit, repairing the house, and even cleaning up the mess you make, it's a really well polished game, and super impressive work!
