Monster Rumble by Jun-Seo

[raw]
made by Jun-Seo for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

This was my first jam and I'm genuinely surprised I submitted anything at all considering I came into this expecting not to publish.

Monster Rumble is an extremely basic tower defense game with a cute block style. Keep your castle alive from the waves of monsters coming to break down your door!

A far cry from the game i had envisioned but none the less, a barely playable game made in 72 hours.

Ah damn. Rookie error to not include the data folder. Oh well. the data folder has been added to the download. weather or not adding it this late disqualifies me or not. oh well. @thomalin you should be able to play it now :). thanks for trying it.

You must include the whole folder, including UnityPlayer.dll! :o

I tried to open the .exe (and yes I did have the data file with it), but it came up with an error saying it didn't have the ddl file

Okay, I've re uploaded with all the files in a single zip, to make it easier to download. thanks to everyone for pointing out the mistake. this is what happens when you don't use unity for a longg time. Glad to see so many people interested in this 'game'. Its not much but it was an enjoyable experience to make!

So the game is runnable and I downloaded and tried it out and I have to say I love the art style and the music, it is very consistent (except for the UI). Only issue is I'm not sure how to play the game as there are no instructions. Could you edit your post and maybe give a quick description about what keys do what? I tried pressing so many and none of them seemed to do anything for me :) Thanks! I usually love TD games so a nice looking TD game would be right up my alley!

I tried the game and I can't seem to get past the second wave. With starting resources you can only build one tower and it's not enough to kill the two enemies. Am I missing something? It would also be nice to have some feedback of when the tower is firing (at least an audio effect, if not visual). I do like the look of the game.

@ioan-pop There are instructions in the main menu. When the square at the bottom of the screen is green you can click on a tile and press space to build a tower. Insutrctions say you can build on the left side of the screen, but it seems you can only build on the right.

Nice looking tower defence (remember to credit your assets!). Ditto on not being able to get past the second level because of only having one tower.
