Cleiton: The Viking by Guisado
BEHOLD
CLEITON
the viking
Keep your bonfire going so that your villagers don't die. But be careful, for Cleiton can also be affected by the weather.

No spoilers, but, this is Cleiton. He's a viking btw
End up having to scrap several ideas that I had due to, you know, big as scope. Actually wanted to go for the compo, so this was all done alone, no premade assets and whatnot :)
Learned a lot, hit a couple or roadblocks along the way, and as always, had to take a few shortcuts here and there. And, no music this time and only basic sounds :/
Thanks for playing the game!

What I did not like: The core gameplay loop is simple, does not progress, is not rewarding and gets pretty dull really fast. The axes seem to ALWAYS break before you finish the tree you were chopping. The lack of music added to the dullness. There was no indication that the fire was about to go out, taking away my decision making as i had no information to think if it was worthit to go for that extra branch, I was always scared that the fire might go out any time so I always just rushed to the fire after breaking an axe. I think this mightve been a bit too ambitious and you guys ran out of time. Also the main protagonist couldve easily been a lumberjack, as there is no reason for him to be a viking other than a joke, maybe something else in the game to make the fact that his a viking more relevant woul've been nice. Also the temperature bar was irrelevant all the time so I never looked at it more than the first time. Sorry if the critisism was a bit too harsh.
The simple and well-done look of the game would been more effective with a thematic music.
The gameplay would be more fun with appropriate enemies (bears, wolfs, other Norseman, maybe viking monsters), with the same objective of protecting the fire.
I thing the viking wilderness is still a theme worth pursuing, good luck and keep strong.

I was able to survive only one day 🥶. Сampfire goes out very fast and I don't have time for anything. Also, I don't understand when the campfire starts to go out.
It's noticeable that you wanted to add a crafting system and maybe some progression, but you didn't have enough time for this.
Less painful balance and a small story with progress will make this game solid.
One day I caught a minor bug. I started to fly over the trees and people and I could not pick up branches. This happened after I cut down two trees.
