O.C.E.A.N Stuff by Merotar

[raw]
made by Merotar for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Your alien fish Blobby needs to collect movement components and equip them to be able to move and stay alive. So search for them at the bottom of the ocean! But be ware, he doesn't like to hit the walls.

Controls:

  • W/A/S/D: Movement
  • Q/E: Rotate
  • Spacebar: Inventory

Unfortunately the project is not yet finished (only two days of development), but you can get a good idea of the game. Enjoy!

(Fun) facts: - 5-6 people worked on this project part time/full time. - Mac and Unix Versions are not tested. - Music by Ziltoid - Graphics by Merotar (+some external support)

Hey i liked the hand drawn art! It was quite hard to get around - would have loved a map to help haha. Also I wasn't sure if there was any objective I was supposed to be going for so I just tried to go down as deep as possible. It might be good if the parts each had their own health to give the player a few more chances when they hit the walls!

couldn't really play it in the windows or web build... the controls either didn't work, were in reverse, or too soft? The rotating worked no problem and the atmosphere made me want to play! it's just unfortunate that I couldn't get the character to move around. Also, always consider a way to exit the game (even if it's just press esc to close like most jam games do). Still, with all its problems there's something here just probably needed more time to finish which totally happens. Don't stop jammin'!
