Last Goodbyes by chawls_v

A narrative game where you find closure with those you love before passing. Logo.png

My main goal in this game was to learn how to integrate a narrative tool into Unity -- used Ink for this.

For anyone who tries this out, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I really enjoyed this. As I write this it brings tears to my eyes so you did amazing on the mood.
The last year has been relatively tough as well with my grandma passing away and a few other things. This game in a way brought a small amount of closure or calmness.

The visuals and music we're great too! Well done all around.

Great story, and I love the art! Autumnal settings are definitely a weakness of mine, and you did an excellent job!

What a atmosphere you built! the art and music mesh rly well together. And somehow I feel related in just a few minutes. You rly capture the essences of those characters. I dont know how you did that, but those characters look alive and feel alive to me with just a few words with them.

Really touching experience. The writing and atmosphere really had me feeling things. I can relate with being in a rough patch. I hope it gets better, for both our sakes.

Thank you for this game.

This game really got to me. For something so simple, the presentation was VERY effective, graphically and especially from an audio perspective. You delivered on what you set out to do, which i think is commendable, even if the game is very short.

I really enjoyed this game a lot. Its very beautiful. One minor nitpick is the option that says let her have it, i assumed that meant let her have the baby not scream at her lol. Still its a very good game. Im not sure how it relates to the theme though.

Nice mood and world building. I liked the visuals, my suggestion would be to add text in the same style as everything else. Good game though, made me think about my dad.

It's always tough to have closures in relationship. It was sad but happy to see James had a chance to say goodbye to people he loved. I enjoyed it.
