I've been seeing you in the comments of quite a few games so I decided to check you out. My immediate first thought is that your art is good enough for a legit full release mobile game, and when I started playing it, your music and gameplay just further emphasizes my first thought. I'm surprised you don't have like 100+ ratings already. GG, you win :)
And the game is so polished for a jam !
Furthest I got was roughly round 6. It gets so tough!
Is there an "end state"?
Very smooth gameplay. Makes it satisfying to play.
The artstyle is AMAZING. The bright colors and the animations make the game very lively.
Loved it!

Can't stop the music while writing this... A new game in my itch.io collection. Thanks for making this gem!
I cannot begin to express how polished, how well executed this game is - I feel like I am playing something that can be in WarioWare or Mario Party. I feel like I need to leave some sort of constructive criticism but I got nothing, amazingly executed.
Tried 3 times, I see the Unity loading bar but it never fills.
Other games are working fine.
Are you updating right now?
Gameplay-wise the difficulty ramps up at a decent pace. I found it to be slightly on the fast-paced side, but nothing unreasonable. I liked that the enemies telegraph their actions somewhat, but felt that it wasn't always obvious at which point exactly they'd actually do damage.
The funny thing is, I feel like there's not much else to say since it's so well rounded. Things _work_ and it's enjoyable, and there's not much wrong with it. I guess if there was one thing I'd still like (aside from addressing my previous points), is some more replay-ability. Getting a higher score is nice, but some outer progression loop (getting an upgrade, unlocking a new area, etc.) would really take it to the next level. Totally unreasonable expectation for a game jam, I know, but I feel like I gotta mention it. :stuck_out_tongue:
Nice job though.
What a great entry. So polished and the most straight-up fun entry I've played yet! The gameplay loop is super satisfying and just feels buttery smooth. Very innovative take, feels like I'm playing some weird version of Plants Vs Zombies but with real-time action..? Very cool.
Graphics and audio are top tier as well and make me feel like I'm playing a forgotten gem released on the GBA or the DS. Bravo!

Wow, just played your 45 entry- so good! You dummies make some amazing games!!!

Auido, Art, Gameplay, all amazing. Great game!
Still, I loved it. Gorgeous graphics, clean and challenging mechanics. the soundtrack is very good. This martial mood gives us the impression of an important mission. Ailás, that's right! Defending children is the greatest mission of all!
But I really thought that these kids don't look much like their father ... LOL
Congratulations!!!

The graphics are really neat and the sound complements the atmosphere. I enjoyed playing this game, and the difficulty scales up just right.
Excellent job!
Such amazing artwork and so heartbreaking when the turtle babies get wacked!
I can totally see this being one of the contenders to win the whole thing!
If you want to know the timestamp of when your game was played you can see it in this spreadsheet:

As mentioned in the first post the lives remaining were confusing, would make more sense if they were represented by the dude's head. The graphics are superb and full of charm. Amazing work.
Gameplay, graphics, musics...Everything is on point ahah.
Well done, that's an amazing game
My favorite moment was discovering that my shield carries the babies back to me, I thought that was a very nice design touch!
Great job.
It's quite challenging and really fun to play!
I basically camped by the baby turtle spawn points until I had enough turtles - this got me fairly far but eventually got to be too much. When restarting the initial parts are a bit slow - this is a tough problem to solve in general, but maybe some scoring system would work?
