Very pretty game and the idea is creative. Really hard though, eventually I had to quit because I just got very tired of having to slowly gather all the batteries and lights every time I lost.

@fupi yeah, I guess you were stuck at level 4, that's absolutely the hardest one. Could've been a bit more streamlined. If you're ever interested in how the game concludes, you can hit *5* while playing and it skips you directly to the fifth and final level, which is easier and probably the most fun level in the game.

In any case, thank you very much for playing!

I've learned that trees are not a good power source for your phone  The art was amazing and the gameplay felt realy unique. I like it a lot.

Really enjoyed the audio. Quite a nice little project. Must admit I did cheat and skip to the end level though.

What a beautiful game! Can't fault the art and the music worked really well too! I got a little frustrated when I hadn't realised my phone had wheeled past my defences and ended up losing a level, but that's my own fault I guess haha. Had great fun playing it and it fits the theme very well. Great job!

Realy cool. I love the mood :).
if i can suggest you a funny feature, I think the volume of the game could influence the energy of the smartphone :).

This game is gorgeous! And the gameplay fits the theme perfectly. The gameplay could be a bit faster though, it felt slow in places.

Impressive entry!

I really enjoy the feeling of walking the phone around holding it by its cable :D
Movements are a bit slow though making walking everywhere to gather batteries not the funniest part of the game.
Nice one though!

DAAAMN, this shit is amazing . Was this made by two people? I really like how innovative the theme and mechanics are. The graphics are also really good. I also really like how simple and intuitive the controls are. When you start playing it looks like some sort of platformer, but all of a sudden - BAAM - it's a tower defense game. Great work, keep it up

Lovely graphics, sound desing and overall feel !
The gameplay was nice but I found it a bit tedious to get all the parts in place before plugging the phone.
I also had a bug where a wave wouldn't launch and the game didn't progress twice, so I couldn't get too far.

The sound was simple yet effective. And the graphics are beautiful. I liked it a lot.
After a few plays I finally understood that I don't need the batteries in order to power the lights. Some introduction levels which teach the core mechanics could really help here. The first level already felt kindof advanced (even if it was easy). In my first play I won the first level but had no idea if I was doing it correctly. And when I got to harder levels I didn't really understood all the mechanics as I said. It required multiple plays. A great experience overall, very well polished. Congrats :D

Very nice art style! And great atmosphere, tense and still kinda relaxing. Got to level 3 and then when phone was at 100% and I thought it was over, I "proceeded" into the abyss to the right, thinking it would lead somewhere, but it seems that's not what I was supposed to do considering my character and phone just vanished into the void. :D

Very well done! The best visual presentation I've seen today. Very clean and slick pixel art und nice lighting effects. The gameplay was smooth as well and the controls were very responsive.
I'm not a huge fan of the (tower)defense-genre, so I was a little let down, that the core gameplay revolves around fending of waves of enemies with automated lasers and battery-walls. But I'm sure your target audience will love the core loop :) It's not for me though.

Still, I can see, how much effort was put into it. Good job!

This entry felt great, the music is simple but efficient to set the atmosphere and it fits the graphics well. Carrying one battery at the time seem a bit too long, but the game remains enjoyable. Well done

Great concept. The placing of blocks was a little challenging, maybe if you work on this more ( it'd be a cool mobile game, maybe with bigger blocks / touch control ) I'd tigthen up the platform movement, it was tough to move around / get to higher parts.

It'd be cool to see more ways to defend, really light the idea of the tower defence thing, and it was tough balancing time to build vs remaining battery life. :)

BTW, I fell out the level on this stage and couldn't die/reset.

Oh my gosh, I love it!

The concept is great, cute, and humorous.

The little gremlins that come after your phone are pretty great too. I think it's their death sounds that makes them what they are. *That sounds evil...*

Overall, it was *really* fun and well put together.

*A few criticisms/improvements that could be made, however:*

1) There is some friction when you jump and press against the side of a platform. This causes you to jump much lower, and it had me stuck for a good minute at one point.

2) It left me wishing for a throw function...

3) Sometimes the batteries would get put on top of another just slightly off, but they still worked fine, thankfully.

Other than that, art style was *beautiful*, music was simple and pleasant, main mechanic was pretty good, and I managed to make it to the end with only one failure.

**Yes, hello, this is Gman. Did you butt-dial me?**

Wow, that was such a good game!!! I am really impressed by what you put together. The artstyle was beautiful and cute and also I really liked the mechanic. I think it could have been a bit harder, since I put a lot effort in using every battery in the 4th level, even though it didn't really help me. The sounds were pretty cool and the music was also quite nice. Keep up the good work ^^

Really good art. I loved the neon like lights. The first time I played in the second level I couldn't take out the plug from the tree to continue to the next level. The next time I played it didn't happen.
I enjoyed a lot playing the game. Good Job!

The art for the game looks great! The gameplay wasn't my thing personally, but I've got to say it's certainly a strategic little game. Reminds me of tower defense games for some reason!

I didn't find the gameplay that fun, but I think it delivered what it wanted to, just not my taste.

Other that than it's just so charming, I love the mood, the animations the art style the sound the feel etc. I'm taking notes.

I love the concept! I was very confused at the beggiging, I wasn't sure what to do or hw to fight the waves...
The music was cute, and the little monsters sounds were so fun!!!
I also LOVE the graphics, awesome!

Atmosphere is top notch. It's got it's own little feel. I love the music.
Overall, I really like this one. I would have liked a more puzzle-y feel to fit with the mood, but that's largely me just wishing there was more of this to play. I agree with other critiques saying that there could have been more tutorialization, but it wasn't too bad for me.

The idea of the the defensive mechanisms is really good, took a little while to figure out how best to approach it but when I did the idea was fun. Preparation for a level felt like it took ages, would have been nice if I could have separate grab and drop so I could stack up say up to 5 batteries to move everything more in one go rather than having to travel back and forth to get everything setup the way I wanted to.

this is very beautiful ... perhaps the phone cable could be made a bit brighter .. perhaps ... in my screen its very very dark, or I am really dumb for it took me ages to find that there was a cable connected to the phone. I like the sound effects also!

I fell in love with graphics immediately. Pixel but dreamy, and the palette is fantastic. I loved the concept, it's a fun variation on tower defense genre. Animations are fantastic and you did a wonderful job here!

The first thing that wasn't quite right for me were the controls - when I see a platformer, I instinctively smash space to jump, even if I know that I need it for picking materials. I tried going with `e` but that wasn't it. I managed to build some towers and they were effective but I had to explore a bit to find the "canons" to put then on the top. It felt slow a bit to me + didn't realize that my battery can die (but I can just blame myself for thinking this way).

Still, I played till the end of level 3, so I really enjoyed it! I think it'd only need a couple of polishes and I would say it's a full-fledged game.
Thanks for such a cool game!

This is pretty stunning... The graphics, sound and feel of the game are all pretty perfect. I loved the way the phone moved around on its little cart, I love that your dude is so small that the phone is big enough it has to _be_ in a cart, it's just a lovely style and I like everything about it.

WOAH, just excellent! Loved this so much... the music in particular synced so well with the art style to create a really unique environment. Also using the phone as the key object in the game was hilarious. Well done!

This is really a lovely game, the idea of powering the phone and defending it with other sources of energy is great. A tutorial or some explanations on how it worked could have helped a little bit. In the first level I used only the batteries to kill the enemies, and just from the second or third level I started to use them. Talking about levels I really liked the ones with fewer batteries that worked almost like small puzzles. The controls didn't feel right and the platform part of the game was quite weak, but that's not really a problem. There are 2 huge bugs: if you get to game over you can keep playing and simply carry on with your game ignoring the game over screen, and you can make the phone reach to 0% during the preparation phase of the level with no penalty at all. Overall a really good game, nice work!

Such a strangely engrossing little game, I could have probably kept playing it for hours. The core is so simple, but it really works, and there's something very soothing about gathering all those batteries and building your little towers of light to repel the adorably gremlin-esque hordes. Loved the overall mood and aesthetic. The audio was repetitive, but somehow it never became annoying and veered more to the hypnotic side. Very well done.
