Tempus Locus by MSiddeek
What if you could replay the past?

But the game have sometimes verys importants lags (I'm on firefox) :(
PS : Jump with the space bar will be more "intuitive"
I've played on Firefox, and there are some texture errors in console.
Here is my playthrough, you will see some minor issues I had with some of the levels. Keep it up!

Good job!
the characters remind me to price of persia 2 'dehaka' , idk if it was on perpuse
but one thing , music stopped in middle of game maybe bug and also it slows down after a while (i played on web)
it really worth adding more stuff and more polish .
hope u win
@icxon Thanks a lot for the vid man! Learned a lot!
@mackandrius Yeah a camera definitely makes more sense. I'm sure if I had thought about that I would have gone with it instead. I wanted to do a gun like from Portal but for time instead of space, at least that's how it was inspired.
@mohmehdi I'm so sad about the lag. It just ruined the game for a lot of people.
@marc-antoine-girard I hope you did not give me that rating because you think I'm 18, because I'm 28 lol. You probably found a different person :)
Also, thanks a lot for the feedback everyone!
Gameplay and production value are top notch tough, this is a very strong contender for sure!
Amazing job!
Congrats. Definitely the best of the time loop based puzzle platformers I played so far this jam.
Here are my feedback:
_Positive points
- Clever usage of the theme with the rewind sceptre
- Good pixel art
- Clever puzzles
- Good SFXs and ambient music
_Negative points
- Low framerate which makes the controls responsiveness a little slow
- The jump felt a bit heavy for me
Overall: Very nice work!
I liked the idea of being helped by a replay of yourself, you executed it very well, and actually my team and me had a similar idea but we executed it a completely different way!
I enjoyed playing it, and the ending was cool! Nicely adjusted levels and good use of the mechanic, nice difficulty growth, very well done :)
The only little gripe that I have is that even if you gete what you'll need to do in the "evade" room, there is a lot of trial and error involved in getting the timing right. Still it's a reely great game and I could have gone on for quite some time longer.

Good luck on your ratings, see you next LD! :D

One of the best entry!
Really good take on this mechanic I think. Our game is very similar conceptually, but I really like how you're limited in terms of how long you can record a loop for, and love how the length can be dictated by gameplay itself, rather than just letting the player arbitrarily decide (e.g. using the mirrors to bounce the portal around longer, giving you more time to record). The physical window in which the recorded player can move is a nice touch too... this is all just really damned good. Well done!
@crazyrems there's an alternate ending based on what you do on the last monster screen. It might answer that question a little bit :)
Levels were not overly complicated but fun to figure out and the platforming elements were not as devious as I initially thought  When I first saw the level when you have to scale the wall, I was like "No way I will be able to do that!". But it proved easier to execute than I thought - that's a huge tribute to how well you implemented the controls in this game. Awesome.
Graphics and music are also solid and create a nice atmosphere. Story is cryptic but it's fitting - lots left to player's interpretation.
The game feels polished and made with love. Really well done! 5/5!
Edit: Just found out the alternative ending. Amazing job.
The game is incredibly polished overall. The story is simple, but quite effective and fits the dreamy vibe of the backing track. One of my favorite entries!
I love the art, characters and backgrounds, also the world you can imagine behind them.
The mechanics are great, quite hard to domain at the beginning.
It fits the theme perfectly.
I could play a longer version of this.
10/10 would get murdered again!
Seriously. Good work! Well Done!
Also I definitely see the art inspiration and some mechanics borrowed from Celeste! Very cool.
So I think that you did some great gamedesign here.
I completed the better (hero survives) ending first and it's felt a little anti-climactic and disappointing :(
Than I read that there is a second ending, so I played again and the bad ending is much more interesting, good job.
Edit: just got the bad ending as well
Do you plan on uploading the music somewhere, so I can play it time to time? .)
