It is not enough.
The RESISTANCE is crushed.
Unchecked and unbothered by any but the EXHAUSTED, the antlered cloud, FASCISM, lays waste to the LAND. Where once bloomed diverse biomes of moss and sand and snow, FIRES now burn. The ground opens as if the land itself is rejecting a poison Surviving SERFS are scarce and scattered.
There are no gods now. This is a time of DRAGONS. Neo-feudalism reigns.
Your family FARM must remain efficient, else the HOLE may grow too greedy. The land never fully healed, but generations of graft have yielded something salvageable. WAR now takes different forms: quieter ones. What you do with your life is part of a LEGACY.

Exhaustlands II is a black metal, dice-based, "rogueless"* game about tending to your farm, making kinships, and filling the Hole. You will have to manage your resources through recycling to keep your food, water, and warmth stats high. Visitors to your farm will have stories to tell.
- by which we mean: there are random elements, but not that many. there is permadeath, but death isn't a big deal. there is no combat, and no state of completion. you will learn more about yourself and the world through each new life. so, not a roguelike, but something similar, in certain ways.
