Keep your forest alive from the threats of lumberjacks, arsonists, chainsaws and bulldozers.

Collect water from the forest to summon rain to put out forest fires. Collect carbon from the forest to plant more trees.

Plant different tree types with unique defensive abilities. Types include: - Oaks for long term resource production - Pines for great short term resource production and attracting animals but low durability - Fruit Trees for high defense against loggers and attracting bears to scare off loggers - Flame Trees for high defense against loggers and arsonists.

Bears will help you by chasing away loggers.

Animals will spawn/die depending on the habitability. e.g. Bear populations increase with deer populations which increases with the number of trees you have (especially pines).

How many days can your forest survive?

With intense music and a variety of abilities for the trees, I was drawn in to making my forest last as long as possible. I am a big fan of any kind of strategy or survival game and this one was pleasing to play.
However, at 1x speed, I was getting a little bored so I bumped it up a little faster and then moved to 10x. At this rate, I was unable to keep up but it added quite a bit of stress and excitement to the game.
Overall an enjoyable little strategy game.

I really like that this has dynamic systems, it really captures the notion that the forest is alive and has a "messy" ecosystem, much like the real world. Because of this, however, it can be difficult to judge how well you are doing which I found more stressful than enjoyable. I would almost like to see a version of this that allows you to grow and tend to a forest in a dynamic way with less emphasis on direct threats. Overall this was a really sweet entry and it's really cool to see what you did in such a short amount of time, keep up the good work! :D
