Introduction

Hello! Originally we had another (better) idea revolving around managing an IT company ("Keep IT alive", ha), but our lack of experience and time forced us to panic and rethink. We opted for a much simpler concept that didn't involve AI and pathfinding, where we would have the minimum viable product after just a few hours, so we could spend the remaining time polishing and adding quality of life features.

Instructions

Player

Player.png This is you. You care a whole lot about the happiness of skulls scuttered around in your domain. Don't ask what you are - I don't know.

Skulls

Skulls.png You have one goal: Keep those pretty little skulls from burning out. Since you can't breath fire, you will have to shower them with lava (and love and affection). When a skull burns out, it hurts so much you lose a life. Once you run out of lifes, you're dead. Skulls that have burned out can't be reignited.

Lake

Lake.png There is a lake in the middle of the map. Keeps you warm and looks neat; but its main purpose is supplying fresh lava (or technically magma, since the game looks underground-ish).

Items

Items.png Items will periodically spawn to assist you in your endeavour. Only one item will be present at a time at maximum, and items don't despawn.

Controls

[WASD] or [Arrow keys] Movement

[M] Mute/unmute sounds

[R] Restart game

[Esc] Exit game

Bumping into skulls will fully reignite them, but will drain your lava reservoir.

Bumping into the lake will replenish the lava you're carrying in your pockets.

Cool concept! Fits the theme really well and was really fun to play. The power-ups were very satisfying. Graphics are nice too!

I really liked the game you get a fun fast pace mood going, lava/magma pool is not very intuitive, maybe start with empty lava and get the user to fill up? And the character looks awesome
