Circles in the Clouds by foodzilla
A game of battles in the clouds!
----
Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish this, I just got about halfway through the enemies... I was originally going to make this a two button game (left and right), but I got ahead of myself and made it four.
There was a lot I wanted to get done, but I miscalculated the end of the competition by a good hour. If I had more time:
1) More enemies... there's actually the start of a number of subtypes that I wasn't able to fully distinguish and set up. This includes marking the 'tracking' bullets as red.
2) More pathing behaviors. Both a proper 'legion' group, and several pathing tricks with the wheels. There's a whole set of pathing classes I never got to properly use for this game.
3) Background. There was supposed to be some very graphical features for the game... y'know... the clouds... and all.
4) Simple items. I thought of a random chance of a 'shield item' that could absorb a couple hits. It would be a way to 'fake' restoring health without actually healing.
-----------------------------------
edit: wasn't properly adding/drawing the blue enemies. I had commented out and left the commands un-updated. Fixed this and rebalanced the distribution a touch.

The theme is not too applicable anymore after you changed it to a 4 button game, but it's a fine shoot 'em up otherwise!

Unfinished. I could be great with more features ++
