Fantastic game. I have had a lot of fun playing it. Graphics, sounds, everything is pleasant and web polished. Never thought that playing a healer would be so hard a job. I may suggest to enable fullscreen on itcth.io to make the action more readable. Excellent game recipe

This is dang impressive work, I can't believe you managed to make this all in 3 days! The premise is excellent, I tend to play the healer class and it often feels like running after children like a scared parent to stop them from getting themselves killed. I love the artwork and animations, it looks very professional and flows extremely nicely! The music is nice too, really helps set the move, and the sound effect feel nice and chunky when you kick off the special moves. I'm not sure if there's much progression in terms of monsters, or if the game can actually be beaten? I managed to get the blonde fighter stuck in the top wall in both my playthroughs, and that made it a bit hard to progress any further. Damn good game, I really enjoyed it :)

I love it! The art is perfect! I would love to have some color hint to distinguish between my companions, bc I was quite difficult for me to know which one should I heal. My mage got stuck in the wall I so did I after kicking my warrior. But I had a hard time trying to move my character because I asumed that holding the click I would move, is the move per click intended? Or are you considering to implement move on click hold?

AH Yes Thank you! I knew all those years being healer: druid/priest paid off! Thank you for the nostalgia of healer class. This was good work for 3D. GG to who did Tech art! 10/10 for the references in text.

This game is awesome! Never underestimate the healer LMAO It's a great twist on the common RPGs in which almost no one wants to be the healer hahahaha This game really is great, 10/10 for me!

The pixel art is to die for, don't really have to say much there. The game is rather funny as well, especially that intro XD. However, I think the way you choose a character to perform their special move was a little clunky. You could end up aiming and kicking a character even if you didn't really want to. That happens when they move towards you as well which could get a little annoying. Overall though, it's a great game and is really addictive.

Not just a good game jam game, this is a good game overall. Im getting such heavy flashbacks of my healer days in World of Warcraft and those stupid NPCs are spot on. I loved everything about this, the gameplay, the art, the music and the intro animation was amazing. Good job!

Amazing game! Had the same idea initially! Glad I didn't go for it because you have outdone my vision (and we all know visions are never perfectly reached) and its a clearly well made and fun game. The concept was great, added some quick paced action to what is usually more methodical (healer job).Kicking people was a nice way to have low key control of the other; yet still know we are the healer and our job is to keep the party alive.

Progression was nicely paced, I was even caught off guard by the boss battle. It felt like an endless game, yet having a small narrative and progression fits nicely a jam game! funny story btw.

Had the same bug pointed out by @rob1221dev , but that didn't really change my mind (+ im pretty sure it happened on boss death). Don't wanna spoil my rating, but I think this was pretty damn perfect! You got a winner!

Amazing sprites! and pretty relate-able premise I definitely got a chuckle from the humor. I did find healing someone when there was a big crowd hard, that seems like the point and the primary use for the AOE spell, The cut-scenes were great but I was a bit let down that there was no final cutscene, but that is jam times. I love the party members as babies metaphor, not only where they helpless like babies they whined like them as well. Dont know if it was intentional or not but sword guy felt like he complained about heals alot more than anyone else. Fantastic entry

Honestly this game feels TOO good! This is the kind of game that I would pay real money for. It's so juicy, the art and the animations are all so slick. The sound is satisfying and the core gameplay is fun and also so creative. I've never played a game like this before. It feels like every aspect of the design flows into each other perfectly.

You have incentive to kick your melee members into the enemy for their special attack, while you need to kick your archer out of the way to keep her safe. In short, your character is in charge of repositioning your allies AND healing them which is so brilliant. The main character's abilities are also great, it's really nice to have offensive capabilities on your healer like the lightning, as well as an "oh shit" button with the boost and teleport.

What an incredible game! You should all be really proud, each of you is a powerhouse gamedev!

This game is incredible! The animations and design are amazing, the gameplay is incredibly creative, perfectly intuitive and very fun. It's reeking polish and flavor out of every corner, from the particle effects and blood splatters to the oh so relatable flame from your ungrateful teammate allies. I especially like that the allies are all children in proportion and size compared to you.

I honestly can't think of anything wrong with the game at all

Really fun! I've always liked these healing type games. My only two complaints are that the health bars should be above the actual characters since you are healing via a skill shot and the screen shake was too strong.

Wow, I was able to defeat the dark lord. What a trip!

First and foremost: The intro and boss intro is excellent. I'm blown away, really. The pixel graphics are nice too, although a bit hard to read, when a lot it going on, but I guess that's part of the action. It really felt great to save your mates from all that mayhem and helping out as good as possible. Haven't felt like that since playing WOW or Guild Wars many years ago.

Overall a solid game with wonderful graphics, animations, sounds and music. Great stuff!

What an abbsolutely beautiful, amazing game! And a theme interpretation too!

Little nudges from your little team mates, kicking them around like a proper leader should, all amidst the chaos happening around and trying to stay away from the enemies. And, unlike many other games, the difficulty is just right to feel yourself skillfull but not overwhelmed.

Love it!

Good luck getting to the LD top, well deserved!

This game is incredible, so so fun to play, the humor is great, so is the art. I love the main soundtrack, and it's one of the few games that I feel I could play outside of the jam, it is really is great. The team did a terrific job.

The kick mechanic is insane too. So much work was done, it has a lot of common with our game since it's also a top down shooter with fantasy aspects so it was really fun to compare both ! Good job.

This is SO well-made! It really put me out of my comfort zone and made me think differently, cause all my instincts told me to shoot at the enemies. The overall concept and the execution were super funny, all the audio was fitting and awesome, graphics were stunning and I just have to praise the work with the A.I., it mustn't have been easy! This is definitely a 5-star game, great job!!!

An amazing entry! Looks clean and polished. Visuals are beautiful, I'm in awe of those smooth animations. Music is a bop! And gameplay is super fun - kept me on my toes but was enjoyable. The mechanic with kicking your allies around is very interesting and has a great feel. Also, love that you managed to get in cutscenes and a solid tutorial, and give each teammate and enemy unique attacks and abilities!

Don't know what to say more, it's just a great game

fun to play, great one liners, interesting gameplay, theme on point, great art. awesome game!

the only thing that bothered me was, that when i kicked my members around i was somehow always expecting to have to move the mouse in the opposite direction of where i wanted to aim.

Brilliant entry! I loved the take on the theme and setting, graphics were top-notch and music was really catchy, the degree of polish was insane.

I managed to beat the game on my second attempt once I started combining together heals + kicks/character skills + my own special skills, and if I was already having fun on the first playthrough, the second felt GREAT. I loved the combat mechanics!

The usual MMO/MOBA toxic banter of my party members cracked me, I found that hilarious.
Sometimes I have to fill as support in a mobile MOBA I've been playing for a while and I've felt sympathetic for the main character every second XD

Perfect 5 here, I was expecting some high quality game and I wasn't disappointed.

Humor was great, sound design is some of the best I've seen this jam, if not in every jam I've participated in. Graphics are amazing as well I really appreciate how quickly it gets to the action, games typically don't need stories but I'm grateful that you told this one so efficiently.
For critical feedback, I'll just say that the movement control was a little unintuitive. I think WASD would have been just fine.

Great idea! Great game! :) You did an amazing job in the short amount of time and I really loved the visual presentation. If the game got hectic I accidentally kicked around my team mates even if I didn't want to.. Pros:
- Probably fits the theme best of of the games I played
- Nice humor
- Seems pretty accurate for someone who played a healer

Cons:
- Seems to have pretty high skill requirement for a jam game

Overall I main healer quite ofthen,so this hit close to my heart and I must admit it was both accurate and fun healer experience. Both selection of special skills and main healing mechanic were pretty nice. I felt like kicking allies was fun, but at the beginning of the game it messed up my gameplay flow a bit. Sometimes it was a bit hard to distinguish enemies from allies when they gather up in a big pile and it was quite op to leave only one ally alive, but I guess both of these seem like realistic experience in mmos or other games with a healer.

This is very fun and polished! I love the unappreciative messages you get when healing. The gameplay is satisfying and just chaotic enough to always be interesting.

I would have liked to be able to move with WASD - even if stood still when healing this would be more fun but I've never been too big of a fan of mouse movement.

02. May 2020 · 21:11 UTC
Fun game and quite polished. Though, I couldn't quite get the progress bar (in the top right) all the way to the end (~80%). Towards the end, there is just too much going on. I noticed that the heroes just shoot the player when you stand between them and the enemy, which feels a bit broken. I also not a fan of the click and hold to move; I would just like to move with wasd. Lastly, there is no feedback when you're healing an enemy; it looks exactly the same as when you're healing a hero. This is especially an issue when there is a lot going on and everyone is standing close together.

Like others here I haven't been able to finish the game, but I had a lot of fun dying multiple times!

Here's a list of unordered feedback:
- I adore the graphics. The animations, the colors, the glowy effects - everything is super well done.
- Same for the music! It's very fun to listen to and fits the game perfectly!
- The concept, the mechanics and the resulting gameplay are really cool. And fun!
- Big props to your programmers. Having a fully featured player character with movement and main and secondary skills that works well, pickups and multiple different monsters is already an accomplishment, but adding to that multiple autonomic characters with their own skills and behaviour is super impressive!
- The game feels super polished, what's with the multi-stage entry cutscene, short tutorial and having animations for everything.
- I really like the throwing mechanic, both for triggering the skill and also for repositioning!
- What I don't like about the throwing is that it always triggers automatically when I'm close to a hero. Sometimes I just want to, you know, walk near or by them. Or heal them.
- I wish there would've been health bars (or maybe some other indicator?) beyond "I'm dying" next to the characters.
- I love the unhelpful messages from the characters - funny and very on point. I wish the "heals plz" would only come when they actually would need a heal though! Ungratefulness aside, it seems unrealistic that someone takes the time to write "heals plz" when they're on 95% health? (At least I hope so. Poor healers :( )
- I wonder if a different movement mechanic would've been good. WASD? Or running in the direction as long as the mouse is pressed, but then stopping once I release? (I'm at least glad that I *can* continuously press the mouse.)
- I don't know what this extra character is that sometimes pops up? I don't mean the one that explodes, but the one that barely does anything?

It's probably clear from that list already, but I love the game. It's fantastic, and it's hard to believe that you made this in 72 hours. You are incredibly talented, and this is the first game this LD that I'm giving 5/5 all across the board.

PS: I continued playing and defeated the dark lord after all! :D
